Willowmere

Willowmere was never founded by kings, conquerors or wealthy families. The first settlers were farmers and travelers who discovered a sheltered valley of fertile soil, clear streams and gentle hills and simply decided to remain. Farms became homes, homes became neighbors, and over generations a small village quietly grew.

While kingdoms changed and conflicts passed beyond the surrounding hills, Willowmere remained largely untouched. Its people learned to value family, harvest and community above wealth or ambition. An old tradition still says that no peaceful traveler should leave Willowmere hungry or without somewhere dry to sleep.

There are no legendary treasures or grand monuments here. Willowmere is known instead for its bread, honey, cheese and cider, and for treating strangers with unusual kindness.

To outsiders, Willowmere may seem entirely unremarkable.

To those who live there, that is precisely what makes it worth protecting.
