The Ice Kingdom
Climate and Geography
The Ice Kingdom is a jagged, hyper-frozen expanse encompassing the northernmost frontiers of the world, characterized by towering, sharp-peaked glacial mountains, bottomless crevasses, and deep, shifting snowdrifts. The entire landscape is forged from unmelting ice and packed permafrost, anchored by the iconic Ice King's Castle—a precarious, multi-spired fortress shaped like a giant royal crown that looms over the frozen domain.
The Weather: Bitter, bone-chilling sub-zero temperatures dominated by perpetual ground blizzards, howling Arctic gales, and heavy, blinding snowstorms. The air is razor-sharp and thin, capable of flash-freezing unprotected flesh within minutes, while magical winter squalls frequently kick up swirling vortexes of jagged ice crystals that scour the mountain slopes.
The Environment: A treacherous, hostile wasteland of sheer vertical glaciers, unstable snow bridges, and frozen subterranean caverns carved out by ancient magical frost. The terrain is entirely devoid of conventional flora, featuring deep ice-chasms and frozen waterfalls that gleam with an eerie, pale-blue luminescence. It is a harsh, isolated realm largely bypassed by standard trade routes, populated almost entirely by a massive, chattering colony of penguins, animated ice constructs, towering snow golems, and dormant frozen monsters brought to life by erratic wizardry.
