Lore of the Slime Kingdom

1. Origins, Elemental Roots, and the Subterranean Vaults

The Primeval Element: Long before the consolidation of structured surface civilizations, the foundational essence of the Slime Element pervaded the world, rooted deeply in the primordial balance of matter. Out of viscous chemical runoffs, subterranean aquifers, and pre-war industrial remnants, the Slime People took form—amorphous, fluid-based entities capable of absorbing, sliding, and reshaping their gelatinous biology.

The Desert Caverns: The civilization established its primary domain deep beneath the arid expanse of the desert lands. Guarded by bubbling slime pits on the surface, the subterranean metropolis expanded into a vast network of glowing green-and-yellow caverns, integrated with discarded pre-war infrastructure, toxic waste reserves, and high-tech ruins left behind by the old world.

2. The Monarchy, Royal Succession, and Social Customs

The Principles of Hereditary Rule: Governance of the subterranean realm crystallized into an absolute principality dictated by strict royal bloodlines. The kingdom was traditionally overseen by a reigning monarch, such as Slime Princess, alongside an entrenched royal family and a high council led by kingdom elders.

The Matrimonial Transfer Law: A unique and volatile constitutional quirk governed the Slime Kingdom's crown: supreme political authority could be legally usurped and transferred through marriage. If a member of the royal family—such as a sibling to the reigning monarch—married while the current ruler remained single, the crown and absolute ownership of the kingdom immediately shifted to the newlyweds. This law created a culture of intense internal court intrigue, where royal weddings posed direct, existential threats to the stability of the state.

3. Militarization and Subsurface Diplomacy

The Illusion of Docility: While the general populace of gelatinous citizens often maintained a relaxed, leisurely lifestyle—famous throughout the world for hosting elite, highly rated subterranean dance venues—the kingdom possessed a surprisingly aggressive military infrastructure. The state maintained armed forces capable of rapid mobilization, including specialized heavy armor and advanced slime-propulsion tanks.

Territorial Ambitions: Under specific leadership, the monarchy harbored vast imperialistic designs, openly boasting of hidden military capabilities capable of overwhelming neighboring territories and launching campaigns for global dominance. Despite these grand threats, the kingdom largely remained insular, functioning as a secretive, self-contained subterranean power.
