Methods of Access: Natural portals or dimensional tears occasionally link Lumpy Space to the physical world of Ooo. These tears can sometimes be opened or stabilized using localized magic, concentrated emotional energy, or specific dimensional artifacts.
2. Biology and Physics of Lumpy Beings
The Lump People: The dimension is populated primarily by sentient, floating, star-shaped or cloud-like beings known as Lumpy Space People (or LSP). They lack traditional internal skeletons or limbs, communicating instead through speech and manipulating objects with invisible, telekinetic-like force fields.
The Bite of Lumpy Space: One of the most dangerous hazards of the dimension involves its physical influence on outsiders. If a living creature from another dimension is bitten by a native lumpy being, the victim undergoes a progressive, contagious biological transformation. Over a short period, the victim's body develops physical lumps, their personality shifts toward the dimension's characteristic haughty and dramatic attitude, and they eventually phase completely into a lumpy entity, permanently trapped unless a rare antidote is administered.

The Monarchy: Lumpy Space is governed by a traditional royal family, presided over by a king and queen who rule from a floating palace. Despite their royal status, the society is notoriously prone to superficial gossip, dramatic feuds, and petty social hierarchies.
Exile and Isolation: The royal court and society at large maintain strict social norms, occasionally banishing citizens who violate cultural rules or behave too rebelliously, sending them away from the capital to wander the desolate outer fringes of the floating dimension.
