The Dwarves were the second folk to set foot upon Eryndal, arriving only a few short years after the Elves first claimed the land. In those early ages, stone and leaf lived in harmony. Though wars would rise and fall between them across the centuries, neither race sought the other’s end, and peace always returned in time.
They made their homes in the mountains of Eryndal, carving their lives directly from the bones of the earth. Their greatest hold was @Dar Baldir , a vast cavern-city hewn from stone—its halls shaped by hammer and chisel, its forges burning day and night. There they mined deep, built grand, and endured.
But time, even to dwarves, takes its toll. The mines of @Dar Baldir began to fail—supports cracking, tunnels collapsing, the mountain itself growing unstable. One by one, the great halls were abandoned. Reluctantly, the Dwarves left the stone that had sheltered them for generations.
Many resettled in Striga City, the heart of Eryndal. Though they still revere the mountains, they now live among other races, bringing with them their craft, their memory, and their unyielding pride. Some dream of restoring Dar Baldir. Others believe the mountain has spoken its final warning.
All remember where they came from.
