Leaders of the Major Factions

In this bizarre, shared post-apocalyptic world, each faction brings its own structure, but the collapse has forced new political realities and figureheads to emerge or consolidate power.

The Galactic Empire

The Empire is still rigidly structured, but the loss of communication with the core galaxy has fostered internal rivalry between military and political governors.

TitleLeaderPolitical/Military FactionsPlanetary GovernorMoff VarisThe Loyalists (Dominance Faction): The current ruling faction. Moff Varis is a pragmatic, cold-blooded bureaucrat who focuses on securing resources and establishing a permanent, self-sustaining Imperial foothold, believing the core Empire will eventually arrive to reward his work. He prioritizes stability and protocol above reckless conquest.Imperial Fleet CommanderAdmiral TaigaThe Purists (Annihilation Faction): A highly aggressive military cadre that views all non-Imperial groups as sub-human primitives to be wiped out with extreme prejudice. They push for immediate, large-scale assaults, particularly against Zeon (who they see as another rebel group) and the organized tribes. They believe fear is the only governance required.Chief of ScienceDoctor CygnusThe Technocrats (Reclamation Faction): A group of engineers and researchers obsessed with salvaging Old World technology. They are willing to negotiate short-term truces with lesser factions (like specific Scavenger gangs) to acquire rare artifacts or functional pre-apocalypse machinery. They view the Borg as a terrifyingly efficient, though misguided, research opportunity.

Jon Irenicus

Irenicus has no "parties," as his followers are enthralled thralls or dark apprentices. His influence is absolute, but he relies on key lieutenants to manage the gross work.

TitleLeaderRole/MotivationThe Architect (Primary Agent)Sarevok Anchev (Resurrected/Bound)Irenicus's main enforcer, resurrected and mentally dominated. Sarevok commands Irenicus's small, fanatically loyal army of warriors, managing all external conflicts and resource acquisition. He is the public face of Irenicus’s terror. The Keeper (Laboratory Manager)Bodhi (Vampire Consort)Manages Irenicus's hidden fortress/laboratory, overseeing the capture and processing of souls and test subjects. Her sole motivation is to appease Irenicus and share in his eventual ascendance to godhood. The Emissary (Information Broker)Raij (A former Scavenger)A highly paranoid but skilled information gatherer, enchanted to serve. Raij deals with the lowest levels of society (scavengers, desperate refugees) to bring back intelligence, rare chemical components, and, most importantly, people for the experiments.

The Sorcerer-Kings

The Sorcerer-Kings operate as independent, competing demigods. They form a loose, constantly shifting coalition, always ready to betray one another.

TitleLeaderTerritory/Power BaseThe Obsidian Lord (Chief Negotiator)King T'sarRules a fortified coastal city-state. T'sar is the most politically astute, often acting as the designated speaker when dealing with alien factions like the Empire or Zeon. His power base relies on brutal control of a key water source. The Blight Mother (Spiritual Core)Queen DrayaRules a jungle-turned-wasteland. Draya is the most mystically powerful and aggressively defiling of the Kings, focusing on magical supremacy and the ritual destruction of life. She commands a following of zealous, mutated cultists. The Firstborn (Military Leader)Dictator HamanControls the largest military force, composed primarily of slave legions. Haman is aggressive and impulsive, focused on raiding and conquest to expand his territory. He views the technology of Zeon and the Empire as valuable additions to his slave labor.

The Principality of Zeon

Zeon maintains a military-first structure, but the lack of an immediate "Federation" enemy has created internal ideological fractures on how to proceed.

TitleLeaderPolitical/Military FactionsSupreme CommanderColonel General Garma Zabi Jr.The Zabi Restorationists (Monarchy): Led by a descendant of the original ruling family. This group demands absolute adherence to the old aristocratic and military protocols of the Principality. They seek to use their mobile suits to establish a permanent feudal state where they rule the surface as a new nobility.Chief EngineerDr. Petra KlausThe Independent Technocrats (Pragmatism): A highly influential faction of engineers, pilots, and technicians. They are less interested in Zabi monarchy and more focused on survival. They believe Zeon must shed old rivalries and establish trade with any faction—even the Empire or the Scavengers—to secure rare minerals and fuel to keep the mobile suits running.Field MarshalDozle RambaThe Mobile Suit Front (Warriors): The elite pilots and field officers. They are the most anti-negotiation group, believing the only way to assert dominance is through constant displays of military power. They want to test their Mobile Suits against the Empire's Walkers and the Borg's Cubes, viewing war as the highest form of service.

Lemuria

Lemuria is governed by an ancient, long-lived council of psionics. They do not have "parties," but distinct ideological "Tiers" of their society based on their function in preserving the future.

TitleLeaderRole/IdeologyThe Oracle of the Depths (Head of State)High Elder KaelenThe Tier of Preservation: The ruling council that dictates Lemurian policy. Their primary focus is on total isolation and non-intervention. They only sanction external action when the planet's ecological health is directly threatened (i.e., a Sorcerer-King's mass defiling ritual). The Hand of the Current (Action Director)Commander RylosThe Tier of Intervention: The intelligence and covert action arm. This group is dispatched to the surface for sabotage, espionage, and targeted healing/cleansing. They argue for minimal but necessary contact, believing a small push is better than watching the surface world ruin itself entirely. The Weavers (Social Architects)Lore Keeper ShanaThe Tier of Observation: The scientists and historians dedicated to studying the collapse and the new life forms. They advocate for total non-contact, simply observing the various surface factions to determine if humanity is capable of salvation or is doomed to repeat its errors.

The Borg

The Borg has no leader or political parties, only the unified Collective. However, the sheer distance from the main Borg space has created a single, localized entity that manages its immediate survival and assimilation protocols.

TitleLeaderRole/FunctionThe Local NexusQueen Unit 01The Assimilation Priority Matrix: Not a true Queen, but a highly advanced tactical unit designated to oversee the assimilation of this particular solar system. This unit directs the adaptation and fusion of the new technologies, prioritizing the acquisition of starship-grade power sources and complex metaphysical knowledge (like Irenicus's research).(Internal Function)Drone Designation: Theta-9The Technological Adaptation Group: A group of specialized drones assigned to analyze and replicate the Empire and Zeon's weapon systems (laser cannons, mobile suit mobility). Their only "political" agenda is to ensure optimal efficiency and report any design flaws back to the Local Nexus.(Internal Function)Drone Designation: Gamma-3The Biological Adaptation Group: Assigned to study the Dark Sun Sorcerer-Kings' magic and the Lemurian psionics. They are focused on understanding these "illogical" energy manipulation techniques and integrating them into the Collective's existing biological technology for increased processing power.
