North of Bramblebrook, the dense forests give way to miles of rolling farmland known simply as The Golden Fields. This fertile countryside is the village's lifeblood, stretching across gentle hills, quiet streams, and flower-filled meadows. Fields of wheat, barley, oats, and vegetables sway in the breeze, while apple orchards and grazing pastures dot the landscape.
Stone fences divide the farms, and narrow dirt roads connect dozens of family homesteads. Windmills slowly turn on the hills, scarecrows watch over the crops, and smoke rises peacefully from farmhouse chimneys.
By day, the Golden Fields seem like one of the safest places in Eyr.
By night, they become something else.
Nearly every family in Bramblebrook works these lands. Farmers rise before dawn, shepherds guide their flocks across the hills, and beekeepers harvest sweet honey from colorful wildflower meadows.
Despite the dangers of Eyr, the people here are cheerful and close-knit. Every autumn they celebrate The Harvest Feast, thanking the land for another successful season.
Yet everyone knows never to remain in the fields after sunset.
An abandoned stone windmill overlooking the valley. Strange lights have occasionally been seen inside after dark.
A grassy hill where sheep graze during the day. From its summit, travelers can see Bramblebrook, Mosscrag Camp, and the distant forests surrounding Eldermoor.
A beautiful apple orchard planted around seven enormous oak trees said to be blessed by Thistle herself. The apples grown here are considered the finest in eastern Eyr.
A clear stream that winds through the fields, powering several small watermills before disappearing into the forest.
Although peaceful, danger is never far away.
