History

The @Kingdom of Alfus, once the radiant pinnacle of elven dominion, now glows with a softer, quieter light.

In the elder centuries, Alfus's name was spoken with reverence and fear. Its silver-armored hosts marched beneath banners that shimmered like starlight, and its archmages bent the winds, the seas, and even the roots of the world to their will. Forests parted at their command; mountains echoed with their hymns of power. No rival kingdom endured long against them, and no age passed without their influence shaping it.

But time, which even elves cannot truly escape, has changed Alfus.

Victory became legacy, and legacy became comfort.

The great armies still exist, but their blades are ceremonial, their drills infrequent. Generals debate philosophy more often than strategy. The ancient spell-forges still hum, yet their energies are now spent on gardens that bloom in winter and fountains that sing in perfect harmony. The people, long unchallenged, have turned inward—perfecting art, music, and pleasure instead of war and vigilance.

Their capital gleams brighter than ever, its towers grown impossibly elegant, woven with living vines and crystal bridges. No hunger is known there. No true hardship endures. To live in @Gorod El'fov is to dwell in a dream carefully maintained over centuries.

And yet, beyond its borders, the world has not softened.

Whispers pass quietly among the oldest of the court—those who remember what Alfus once was. They speak of watchfires gone unlit along distant frontiers, of treaties neglected, of younger races rising without fear of elven reprisal. The kingdom’s strength has not vanished; it has simply gone unused… and perhaps, slowly, unremembered.

For now, Alfus endures—beautiful, eternal, and at peace.

But peace, like power, is a thing that must be kept.

And Alfus has grown very good at forgetting that.
