Fomori – Twisted Servants
Fomori are mortals or creatures possessed long-term by Banes. This union is rarely voluntary; most victims are drawn in through weakness, despair, or simple misfortune. Once bound, the Bane slowly reshapes both mind and body to reflect its essence. Some transformations are grotesque — chitinous armor, extra limbs, or inhuman weaponry sprouting from flesh. Others are subtle: a simmering rage in the eyes, a charisma tinged with predatory hunger, or a withering pallor. While many fomori lose all trace of their original identity, the most dangerous retain their self-awareness, knowingly serving the Wyrm either out of fear, greed, or the belief they have no way back. They operate as the Wyrm’s shock troops, infiltrators, and assassins — capable of moving unseen among humans until the moment their monstrous nature erupts. For Garou, killing a fomor is often an act of grim mercy; the person they were is long gone, their soul devoured by the spirit riding them. Yet each fomor’s existence is also a tragedy, a living testament to the cost of the Wyrm’s corruption.
