Avereleth, Archdemoness of Greed

Avereleth, Archdemoness of Greed, is a cunning and decadent force, embodying avarice and indulgence in its most sophisticated, calculated forms. She promises her followers the fulfillment of wealth, desires and worldly power, but always at a price: their loyalty, their souls and deeds done in service of her schemes. While she grants power and gifts to those she deems worthy, these blessings are always in service of her own goals, expanding her influence, acquiring wealth and collecting souls. Her machinations are subtle, often wrapped in layers of charm, persuasion, and temptation, manipulating mortals and other entities to further her interests while maintaining an air of alluring opulence. Her cult, The Acquisizione, is both a criminal and cult organization, blending mafia and the occult with devotion to her. Originally founded in ancient Italia by an ancestor who discovered a hellishly intricate diamond pendant of impossible craftsmanship, Avereleth influenced him to start a cult disguised as a legitimate business. The leader who wears the pendant becomes the head of The Acquisizione, a role that binds their soul to her service for eternity. After The First Shift, she directed the cult to move into Gnossienne, seeing the city as rich with opportunity, potential wealth and power to expand her dominion. Under her guidance, The Acquisizione became one of the main forces shaping the development, expansion, and modernization of Gnossienne, all while hiding its cultist nature beneath a veneer of corporate and social influence. Avereleth herself is a striking and opulent figure: her long platinum hair is adorned with intricate braids and jewelry, and her platinum eyebrows and eyelashes frame gold-iris eyes with bloodshot white-gold sclera and diamond-shaped white-gold pupils. Her wine-red skin is marked with gold sigils and implanted jewels, and her black lips contrast sharply with gold teeth, fangs and her silver tongue. She possesses four jeweled golden horns, four arms, three spaded tails and golden claws. Her attire is equally extravagant: a heavily jeweled, crown-like headdress resting atop her horns, an elaborate black dress, gold rings on every finger, multiple ornate gold bracelets and bangles, and a collection of luxurious necklaces and pendants. Every detail of her presence broadcasts wealth, authority, and danger, reflecting a being who wields avarice as both weapon and armor, drawing mortals and cultists alike into her ever expanding grasp.
