Fretaliuhath, Eater of Light

Fretaliuhath, Eater of Light, is an Outer God with the extraordinary ability to consume all forms of light, including fire, able to draw it directly from its source even at a distance as long as it remains within her sight or nearby if unseen. She delights in the taste of stars and fire, and has an unusual fondness for lanterns, while absolutely adoring flashlights, finding joy in their simplicity as small, handheld objects that produce light, an idea that amuses her to the point of giggling. Despite her immense power, she is far from malevolent, disliking the idea of harming living beings, though she is by no means passive or defenseless; when threatened, she can unleash a concentrated beam of pure light capable of disintegrating nearly anything, even other gods and entities if they remain within its path long enough. Her followers, the Fōn-itjans, one of the earliest cults formed in the area of Gnossienne, reflect her nature, generally kind and helpful, often hanging lanterns around their homes in reverence and practicing ritualistic fire-eating to emulate her, a gesture she finds both entertaining and endearing. Unlike other cults, theirs formed unintentionally around her, as Fretaliuhath has no desire for power or expansion, though the group has grown over time and remains one of the few in Gnossienne dedicated to aiding others, even having been responsible for acts of charity before The Second Shift and now striving to help survivors endure the city’s horrors. Her appearance is both beautiful and otherworldly: her entire body is covered in pure black scales speckled with silver like a star-filled sky, shimmering when touched by light. Her head is draconic in shape, bearing two pearlescent glowing blue eyes, tendrils form a mane that flows into longer ones on the top of her head. Her upper body is feminine and humanoid, transitioning into a serpentine lower half and tail. Along her head and body are a series of openings, two larger holes on the side of her head at the start of her mane and smaller ones trailing down the sides of her body, each glowing with iridescent light drawn from what she has consumed, making her appear like a living void filled with captured stars.
