Prāśitṛimastiṣkam, The Expanding Mind

Prāśitṛimastiṣkam—pronounced Prah-shee-trih-mus-tish-kahm, often shortened to Prāśi for those unable to properly pronounce or comprehend his full name, is an Outer God drawn to Gnossienne after sensing the upheaval of The First Shift. Unlike many others, he chooses to remain within the city, using its isolation and chaotic nature to conduct his activities unnoticed by the outside world, though he is well known among the gods and entities within Gnossienne itself. His existence revolves around the consumption of brains, which he devours to grow his body, expand his own neural capacity, and absorb the knowledge and lived experiences of those he consumes. Experiencing these memories is intoxicating to him, described as a euphoric “high” that drives his continued feeding. At times, he replaces the brains he consumes with body-controlling parasites to carry out tasks on his behalf; however, some of these hosts have broken free from his influence, mutating into independent and unpredictable entities. Though not inherently malicious, Prāśi operates on a detached, utilitarian curiosity, capable of great restraint yet equally capable of horrific acts, such as accepting sacrifices or consuming individuals without concern when it suits his needs. His cult, The Medhā-vṛedhi, follows in his image, granted the ability to expand their own brain mass by consuming or directly applying brain matter, enhancing their intellect and perception. Since The Second Shift, they have grown increasingly aggressive and obsessive, viewing the city’s chaos as an ideal opportunity to harvest more minds. His physical form is a grotesque fusion of intellect and predation: a massive exposed brain forming his core, mounted atop a giant tarantula-like body that bears resemblance to a giardia parasite. He possesses eight human-like eyes embedded within the brain, along with a mouth of sharp teeth. Four human-like hands function as his mandibles, while humanoid arms tipped with claws replace his pedipalps. His tongue manifests as a sharp, prehensile proboscis which can be used for feeding or to drain people. His abdomen resembles that of a mosquito, being translucent, revealing the brain matter that he has consumed within, along with a central spine running through it, from which visible nerves extend outward and intertwine with the neural matter. Every aspect of his being reflects his singular obsession: the endless expansion of mind, knowledge and experience, regardless of the cost.
