Ram-Zet, Instrument of Insanity

Ram-Zet, Instrument of Insanity, is an Outer God whose singular purpose is to spread absolute madness, insanity and instability throughout all existence. His influence manifests either instantaneously or gradually, with one aspect of him craving entertainment from the chaos he creates, while another acts purely from malice. He claims to be formed from the very source of insanity itself or perhaps even to embody it, though the truth is unknown, his origin is chaotic, unrecorded and without witness. He appeared shortly before The First Shift and some speculate he may have played a part in causing it. After the First Shift, he became dormant within the mountains for centuries, only to awaken in the 1880s as he gradually regained his lost power. His cult, The Vansinnas, first began to form in this period. Initially, they were seen as a large, secretive and paranoid group of mentally unstable individuals in a half formed secret society, fully embracing the insanity that Ram-Zet embodies. Many of them view this madness as a form of ultimate freedom and enlightenment, claiming, “It’s as old as time itself, therefore it must be truth above all; the truth is limitless.” After The Second Shift, they became increasingly active, spreading and indulging in the city’s growing chaos, often acting with hostility and extreme violence, sometimes transformed into monsters of insanity, sometimes scorpion or crustacean like, embodying one or a few aspects of his appearance. Ram-Zet’s physical form reflects the absolute distortion of mind and body that he represents. He has two human-shaped heads: one a happy, smiling feminine face, the other an angry, furious masculine face. Most of the time, both heads speak simultaneously, the feminine voice is light and musical, while the masculine voice is deep and harsh. His upper humanoid body is made of pale, twisted skin, while the mid to lower section is armored with a crab-like carapace. He possesses four arms: the upper pair humanoid with sharp black claws, and the lower ending in crab claws that come out of the mid section. His lower body and legs resemble a scorpion, with two oar-shaped natatorial legs at the front, six crab-like scorpion legs, small swimmerets underneath, and a scorpion tail tipped with three stingers that can function like pincers. When Ram-Zet becomes serious or engages in combat, both heads fuse into a single crazed face that yells and screeches with the combined sound of both voices. In this state, he grows an additional set of crab-clawed arms, another set of sharp natatorial legs, and a second tail with the same triple-pincer structure, increasing both his lethality and the sense of sheer, overwhelming chaos he exudes. Every aspect of his form embodies the limitless, uncontrollable madness he spreads, a terrifying fusion of human, crustacean, and scorpion, reflecting both his playful cruelty and his malice in equal measure.
