Ša’ilu, The Cosmic Seeress, Outer Goddess of Foresight and Intuition, is a being deeply attuned to the countless possible futures branching from Gnossienne, often appearing distant or standoffish despite genuinely caring for the fate of the world, one she knows could potentially end all existence. She was drawn to Gnossienne during The First Shift, sensing the violent shift in energy and witnessing countless visions of its outcomes, many of which culminated in total annihilation of the world and reality itself. Though calm and observant, she is not to be taken lightly, she will act decisively against anyone who threatens a favorable outcome for the city or existence as a whole. Her cult, The Uzune, formed soon after her arrival, with its first follower initially believing her to be an angel and went on to establish one of the later settlements within Gnossienne. Together, Ša’ilu and her followers study and influence the branching possibilities of the city, aware that most outcomes lead to destruction, while only a rare few lead to survival or prosperity, each requiring precise and often difficult paths to achieve. While she hopes for these better outcomes and subtly works toward them, she also possesses a quiet curiosity, taking interest in how events unfold regardless of the result. Ša’ilu grants her followers and sometimes even outsiders, glimpses of intuition or the future, ranging from fleeting insights to more powerful foresight depending on devotion or the value of offerings, though at times she may grant favor simply out of personal interest, even accepting small trinkets. Her most devoted and willing followers may be transformed into moth-like humanoids in her image, gaining the ability to peer into the future, though this gift sometimes comes at a cost, as constant exposure to shifting outcomes can drive them into paranoia as they witness events change from what they previously foresaw. She resides within a vast, hidden cave in the mountains near the forested edge of Gnossienne, where her cult has constructed a temple to house and worship her. Her form is both ethereal and unsettling: a feminine humanoid body with a head that is a hybrid of a white Virginian tiger moths and a dunkleosteus', retaining the moth antennae alongside the armored fish’s eyes and teeth. Her eyes bear green irises set against purple sclera, long, flowing whitish-purple hair cascades down her form, her neck and the base of her wings are surrounded by long, white, fur-like hair. Her wings resemble those of a moth, beginning in bluish-green hues that fade into a pale green toward white-tipped edges, each section marked with a large purple spot containing an eye identical to her own. Raptorial, mantis-like forelegs extend from the back of the shoulders of her humanoid arms, awhile her hands and feet are pale green fading into white along her limbs, each bearing four purple claws. Purple markings run along her back, sides and moth-like abdomen, which ends in a greenish-black stinger that gradually fades to white along its length. Every aspect of Ša’ilu reflects perception, transformation, and fragile possibility, embodying a being who sees not just what is, but what could be and what must be avoided at all costs.
