Sceadu is a powerful shadow entity, untethered and unbound, whose motives seem inscrutable, choosing to linger near Gnossienne purely for his own amusement. He is disarmingly friendly at first, but there is always an insidious, sinister undertone to his interactions. While playful in demeanor, he will not hesitate to fight or kill, often relishing the chaos and fear he can provoke. He is almost always seen emerging from the shadows, stepping out of darkness as if it is an extension of his being, his presence heralded by a mischievous, insidious, almost malicious wide grin full of sharp teeth and the glint of a single glowing purple eye. Sceadu enjoys appearing at random, often to interact with unsuspecting individuals in obscure or isolated places. He trades in items of rare value, uncommon, rare, ultra-rare, and legendary, ranging from weapons and armor to clothing and restorative items. While he prefers that Gnossienne remains in its current chaotic state, he is not opposed to its change for the better; he simply enjoys observing it unfold, occasionally nudging events or individuals toward mischief for his own entertainment. His form resembles a humanoid made entirely of pure darkness, draped in the semblance of a long, flowing duster and a tall top hat, which gives him an elegant, almost Victorian silhouette against the void from which he emerges.
