• History & Culture: Humanity's greatest strengths are its ambition and its adaptability. Their relatively short lifespans drive them to build empires, create fortunes, and make their mark on the universe with a relentless urgency that longer-lived races often find baffling. They were pioneers of early, non-magical space travel and quickly integrated with other races. Their diversity is their strength; a human can be anything, from a devout priest to a ruthless corporate executive to a grizzled frontier scavenger.

• Place in the Universe: Humans form the demographic backbone of both@The Stellar Imperium of Sol and @The Syndicate of Mercane. They are the soldiers, the middle-managers, the colonists, and the consumers that keep the great machines of those factions running. They are less common in @The Veridian Concordance, but their adaptability allows some to embrace the "Great Bloom" with surprising fervour.

• Adventurers: Human adventurers are driven by the desire to live a life that matters. They are explorers, fortune-seekers, rebels, and aspiring heroes, all racing against the clock of their own mortality to leave a legacy among the stars.
