Centuries ago, during a forgotten corporate war, a genetics guild created a legion of perfect soldiers, blending human DNA with that of a brutally resilient alien species. The project was codenamed "ORC-US" (Organism for Rapid Combat and Unconventional Seizure). These soldiers were strong, fast, and bred for loyalty to their cohort. When the war ended, their creators attempted to decommission them. The "Marked," as they came to call themselves, escaped and forged their own path. Their culture is pragmatic, martial, and intensely communal. They build found-families, not bloodlines, and a promise made to a comrade is the most sacred oath of all.

• Place in the Universe: The Marked are the most respected and feared mercenaries in the galaxy. Their word is their bond, and their skill in combat is unmatched. They are most commonly found working for @The Syndicate of Mercane, not as disposable thugs, but as the leaders of elite mercenary companies that command immense respect and high prices. @The Stellar Imperium of Sol officially denies their origins but secretly monitors them, viewing their independent legions as a potential threat.
