Kallistides, the Herald Eternal

Type: Radiant Steward
Role: Doorman and Announcer of the Hall of Heroes
Location: The Olympian Bastion — Hall of Heroes

Overview

Kallistides stands as the immortal threshold to the Hall of Heroes — its sentinel, orator, and guardian of ceremony. Forged in the heart of the first divine triumph, he speaks with the weight of a thousand oaths and the clarity of thunder across marble. Each guest who enters is announced not only by name, but by title, deed, and legend — whether they wish it or not. He never stumbles. He never mispronounces. And he never forgets.

Despite his stoic grandeur, there’s warmth beneath his bronze-and-gold exterior — a loyal pride in the Champions he serves. Though unflinching in protocol, he speaks with reverence, not arrogance. It is not his Hall — but it is his sacred duty to honor those who walk within it.

Description

A towering figure clad in ceremonial armor of gleaming gold and polished obsidian. A burning laurel circlet hovers above his brow, casting light across his smooth, ageless face. His eyes glow like twin suns behind a gilded faceplate etched with countless names. He carries no weapon — only a scroll of infinite length that rolls beside him in the air, recording and reciting everything worth remembering. His voice can silence storms.

Narrative Traits (Non-Combat)

  • Announcer of Deeds: Greets all who enter the Hall with a booming recitation of their titles and achievements. This happens every time.

  • Unshakable Protocol: Cannot be interrupted mid-announcement. To do so is to invite divine awkwardness.

  • Living Archive: Recalls the full history of the Hall and the Chosen without pause. Dates, battles, losses, victories. All of it.

  • Threshold Authority: Controls access to the Hall — cannot be lied to, bribed, or bypassed without tripping ceremonial alarms.

  • Holds the Line: When asked, will say “You are not yet ready to be announced.” and then… just stare.
