In the year 2028 the 3rd World War broke out over famine, political extremism, and revolution by the civilian populace. The old world order, a group of extreme elitists who abused and manipulated the civilian populace for their own selfish gain inadvertently sparked the revolution that lead to the 3rd World War. By 2035 most of the world was destroyed. And in its wake through testing by the governments of old, mutations from radiation, and alien contact. Super powered humans began to arise all over the world. With some harboring immense powers and others having less extreme powers. In 2038 the war and the world was over. In one last dying attempt of The Old World Order, they nuked what was left of the world to ensure no one could inhabit it. But they caused something no one could have ever predicted the radiation released into the atmosphere cause dormant genes in humans all over the world to activate and unleash supernatural abilities. Small pockets of civilization were left standing leaving many civilians to fight and kill each other for survival.
In the ending years of the 3rd World War a man of great dedication and combat achievements arose to become a legend among soldiers and civilians. A man by the name of Nigel Olozco. A Sargent in the American Marine Core, he was an elite marksman and ruthless soldier possessing no powers just a human with the will to fight any threat. Nigel fought to finally end the totalitarian government of the old world and became a symbol to the people of earth. A symbol of freedom. The people of earth came to call him a Hero. The First Hero. Adopting the moniker “Sargent Star” he helped to aid what was left of civilization after the end of the 3rd World War. Eventually finding people he deemed worthy of leading the planet. Vincent Hurley a brave and dedicated diplomat, he was chosen by Nigel Orozco to help lead what was left of humanity. Along with Isabel Marshall a confident mother, who Orozco found fending her family and others from a pack of wolves in a destroyed house. Orozco saved her and she explained to him that there were many more who needed his help, Orozco seeing her resolve recruited her to aid in the help of leading humanity into the future. Nigel Orozco, Vincent Hurley, and Isabel Marshall established a new government, a government called “The Republic of Earth”. This new found government was established to rebuild the world in a time of peace. But peace isn’t always certain. With superpowers comes heroes and villains. And some of the newly powered people sought to ruin the world with their powers. Seeing the coming threat The Republic of Earth made a decision to establish “The Champions of Earth” with Sargent Star being the first champion. He sought out super powered individuals all over the world.
In Africa a land almost completely untouched by World War 3 due to it not having a primary established government and no major military; a small tribe in the Congo Jungle. A woman by the name of Helen Darge Fasika was about to become something more than she could ever imagine. Born in the Congo to a tribe of 100, her homeland was laden with rival tribes and warring gangs, she was but a 12 year old child in the year 2037, but a rival tribe came to kill her tribe and enslave her. Her family and tribe was slaughtered right before her. When the rival tribe started rounding up the women and children something incredible happened, Helen’s powers came forth. Helen developed immense strength, and durability. She laid waste to the rival gang showing her tribe that they would not be destroyed. Helen with her new found powers used them to eradicate the warring gangs and rival tribes, aiming to unite the Congo and unify her homeland. By 3038 it didn’t take long for Sargent Star to find her. Taking her under his wing and training her. Helen Darge Fasika became “Battle Queen” the Second Champion.
In the coming days of the end of 3rd World War. An ancient Roman god slept in a cave long forgotten in the ground beneath Rome. A well placed or maybe badly placed missile strike broke way to the opening of Vulcan’s Cave. A cave in Mount Vesuvius, the volcano of Pompeii. The ancient god Vulcan the Roman God of Metalworking, Fire, and Volcanoes laid slumber but was awoken to the war raging on earth. Stepping out from his cave and into the world that had been destroyed by war he began to look for his old home of Rome, but found nothing but ash. Infuriated he sought out the ones responsible for these atrocities. Wandering the wastelands looking for any signs of life. He eventually found it; A rescue team led by Sargent Star and Battle Queen. Infuriated he attempted to destroy the duo and their efforts but realized they were only trying to help people. Realizing the situation Vulcan offered his hand in their aid. Sargent Star and Battle Queen unsure as to what or who Vulcan was, accepted hesitantly. But Vulcan quickly proved he was more than just a super, he was a god. Building a construct from the very earth to aid in the rescue attempts, Star saw the great potential in Vulcan’s godly abilities asking him to help repair the world. Vulcan graciously accepted.
In the year 2039 the beginnings of Mega City have started. Mega city built on the ruins of New York City, is a giant city stretching for 100’s of miles, in the heart of it is Champion Tower, the home of The Champions of Earth. The Republic of Earth operates out of an oil rig in the Atlantic Ocean, repurposed and refined by Vulcan. Now the oil rig is a booming and flourishing headquarters where the Republic of Earth operates out of, dispatching aid and relief efforts all over the world. The Republic still worried of the coming threats of villains, had Vulcan build a being of metal and good to be an enforcer of good and justice to humanity. Vulcan would go on to create “Unit 1” a robot born of Vulcan’s design a robot of pure good. A powerful weapon and fighter, fitted with an ai to allow for complex thoughts and decision making. Unit 1 was immediately put into The Champions of Earth and became The Third Champion.
In a small shanty town in the ruins of Washington D.C. Travis May a simple man just trying to survive would get attacked by looters and savages, on the brink of death a rage came over Travis like nothing he had felt before his body mutating right in front of the looters and savages faces. Travis became a giant brute of a man with immense strength and durability, and immense uncontrollable rage. Travis Killed the looters and Savages and began to lay waste to the ruins of Washington D.C.
In D.C. a group of relief workers from the Republic of Earth were aiding survivors when Travis brutally attacked them, ripping them apart in brutal fashion. The Republic getting word of this superhuman attack sent The Champions to eliminate Travis, upon arriving the Trio of Sargent Star, Battle Queen, and Unit 1 were taken back at sight of the being in front of them. The trio immediately engaged Travis, Travis being immensely strong, Battle Queen was The Champions best weapon against him. Battle Queen only 13 now was strong but not nearly a match for Travis, realizing this Sargent Star came up with the idea to have Unit 1 restrain Travis and attempt to subdue him. The plan sprung into action and with robotic might and the help of tear gas Travis was subdued. The trio brought Travis back to the Republic of Earth’s HQ and had Vulcan create a room to contain Travis. Travis was contained for months, fighting, smashing, trying to break his way out of the room made of godly construction to no avail. Eventually Travis’s rage began to subside and his true self began to come forth. Sargent Star struck up a conversation with the calmer Travis and began to earn his trust. In the coming weeks Travis, Star, and Unit 1 worked tirelessly to help Travis Control his Rage. Travis eventually learning to control his rage enough to be stabile. Was let out of his containment. Thanking Star for his patience and dedication to helping him he offered his services to the Republic of Earth. Star seeing the benefit of having someone as powerful as Travis on his side accepted. Dubbing Travis “Rage Beast” and becoming the 4th Champion.
In 2038. In the last day of the war Felicity Shannon was hiding in Los Angeles waiting to die. When the nuclear missile hit she sighed, expecting to die. The missile struck 300 feet away from Felicity. Shannon’s body not being ripped apart but instead being launched at speeds faster than light, her body mutating from the blast and her dormant genes. Felicity thought she was dead. Awakening to her body feeling like it could move faster than light, her heart and brain feeling like they were put into a particle accelerator. Felicity attempted to move but shot forward at the speed of light loosing her footing and tripping. Felicity aimed to control her powers, wanting to save everyone else she could from her horrible fate. Felicity focused as hard as she good took one step forward, 2 steps, 3, 4, a jog, a light run, a run, a sprint, a boost of speed and a wall. Felicity undeterred, kept trying eventually learning to run at a casual speed of 300mph; ran through the wastes in search of survivors. Not finding anyone and losing hope Felicity went into hiding. Unaware of the passage of time she awoke one day in 2039 to a Republic of Earth med transport craft landing off in the distance, running to it in less than a second, the med team scared by the now sudden women standing before them brought her back to The Republic of Earth’s HQ. Sargent Star wanting to meet Felicity, learned of her speed powers, and drive to save people, promptly recruiting her to The Champions and giving her the moniker “Velocity”. Becoming the 5th Champion.
(2039) Vulcan seeing the efforts of The Champions and The Republic of Earth. Offered his services in full to The Republic of Earth and The Guardians. Star graciously accepted. Making Vulcan the 6th Champion.
