The year 2040 would see a time of peace and a time of rebuilding. Unit 1 predicting that more supers would develop, began to scan the earth for traces of humans with supernatural abilities. Finding several, and bringing them to The Republic of Earth HQ. The new supers would be studied and monitored. The first, Arthur Turner, a man with the ability to fly and and produce energy blasts from his hands. Turner was study vigorously, amazing Unit 1 with his mutation. Turner was offered the option to use his abilities to fly across the world and give aid to anyone he could find. Turner graciously accepted. Adopting the moniker “Airstrike” albeit not a name you’d expect from someone coming to save you.
The second super found a man named Chris Woods a not so powerful super only possessing the ability to become invisible. Deemed not a viable super, Woods was released into the populace of Mega City being added to the Super Database, a monitoring software created by Unit 1 to accurately track supers and their powers.
The third super was a woman named Millie Wright, she possessed the ability to read minds. Seeing the potential for a woman with such powers The Republic of Earth quickly recruited her to The Earth Peace Force. A global police force created to ensure the safety of the citizens. Wright became their prime interrogator, being given the obvious moniker “The Interrogator”.
Across the globe many supers would begin to develop and show themselves with even some children being born with powers. The coming year would see a rise in super powered individuals in the hundreds with many being non dangerous and others ranging from low threats to world ending.
The strongest super, a man who was found in an abandoned facility in a redacted location by The Old World Elitist, left to die and assumed to have. Adam Greene was a test subject believed to posses the apex gene, a variation of the super gene so powerful it allows for mutations that could end worlds. Greene was exposed to lethal levels of radiation regularly, never dying. His powers are the very weapon used against him, radiation. Capable of controlling the very atoms of his own body and the universe he is able to cause immense atomic explosions and radiation blasts. The Champions and The Republic of Earth after finding Greene and studying him, were torn between killing him or imprisoning him in Tartarus. Greene had another idea, realizing the severity of his powers he made a promise to The Republic and The Champions to never use his powers and remain in hiding forever to avoid ever destroying the world. The Republic and The Champions reluctantly agreed as long as he allowed himself to be monitored from afar, but The Champions and The Republic swore they wouldn’t come for him unless he gave them a reason. Greene agreed. Returning to the very facility he was found in and a life of pure isolation. A sacrifice made for the greater good of humanity.
With the increasing amount of supers over the coming months. More and more heroes and villains began to arise.

Pieces, a deformed serial killer obsessed with perfection who by some sick joke not only survived World War 3 but became mutated after it. He has vampiric powers and will kill anyone he deems “suitable to achieve perfection”.
Skyfall, a career criminal locked in prison for the rest of his life, released at the start of the 3rd World War. Taking advantage of the chaos from 2028 to 2038 and by the same sick joke that gave pieces his powers. Alastair Finch got his. Developing the ability to fly and control storms and lightning he became Skyfall and realized he could finally rule the world.
The Champions would be called to contain some of these new threats. The biggest being Skyfall. Their battle began when Finch appeared over Mega City. A viscous storm brewed. And when lightning and thunder crashed into Mega City, Alien-Man was the first to respond flying in and grabbing Skyfall out of the sky crashing him into the streets of Mega City. Alien-Man being the far better combatant quickly overwhelmed Skyfall and in his attempt to flee from Alien-Man he was met by Unit 1 who bombarded Skyfall with rockets. Skyfall unwilling to accept to defeat made one last ditch effort to overpower them, attempting to summon a massive storm but Vulcan slammed Skyfall down into the ground and The Champions detained Skyfall, locking him in the same confinement they made to imprison Silas Vane. And locked Skyfall in Tartarus. A fate that was a full circle of Skyfall’s life.
By 2041, with Mega City more than half way completed, The Champions and The Republic realized that the threats were not going to stop. And issued a call for heroes, anyone who mutated and felt a call to glory, to defend humanity, should become a hero. And many came forth, MetalMän, Brutalizer, Speed Demon, Slipstream, Back Alley, and many more supers came forth offering their services to The Republic and the people of earth. Now with street level heroes and more powerful ones to handle threats too small for The Champions to deal with humanity and The Republic could start moving forward. Villains and criminals were out there and heroes would be there to fight them.
In the Year 2042, Mega City was completed, the first testament to a rebuilding humanity. Built with towering apart buildings and skyscrapers for businesses, and bustling streets filled with restaurants and shops. It truly felt like the first sign that humanity was rebuilding. In South Beach, Florida, honest people were rebuilding with the aid of Slipstream, a low tier speedster, began to build a small but honest town. With honest people who help each other, they relied heavily on farming, fishing and hunting. And in the remnants of Europe a call for help emerged. The first European super, Elias Holland “Constable”, a soldier like Sargent Star and Patriot, he was a former British SAS Soldier who mutated to develop immense strength and speed. He had managed to rally 1000’s of survivors across Europe and 2 other supers. Twins, Colin and Peter McKiernan, from Ireland, inseparable fighting along side each other to survive in the chaos of the Third World War. Their efforts rewarded when both mutated to develop keen agility and reflexes. Almost like the universe recognized their resolve and amplified it. While fighting off cannibals in the ruins of Paris in 2039, Elias Holland found the twins and recognized that they were supers like him. He offered the twins a chance to do something greater and put their powers to use for Europe. The twins hesitant at first eventually accepted. Adopting the monikers Headknocker (Colin) and Brickbreak (Peter) they helped Constable to save and rally as many survivors as they could in an attempt to rebuild Europe. In 2041 they had accumulated thousands, rebuilding in the ruins of Italy. They stumbled upon a glowing bottle of wine. Confused they approached the bottle. Brickbreak going to pick the bottle up against his companions wishes when a voice rang out from behind them. “Don’t fucking touch that!” Alarmed the trio turn around to find a large fat man with a huge beard and a tunic, burping and walking towards them. “Been looking for that for ages” he says confused the trio questioned the figure, asking him who he was and where he came from. The fat man responded abruptly “Me, I’m fucking Bacchus! Don’t you kids ever read? History, mythology anything?” “Bacchus?” Constable asked. “Like the Roman god of wine?” Bacchus, burping as he responds stated “Fuck yeah, been sleeping for a while, woke up to see what was happening and everything was fire and shit! So I started walking trynna find a drink and now I have!” As he drank from the glowing bottle of wine. The trio still confused, Headknocker asked him “So you’re a god?” Bacchus responded aggressively “No I’m just a fucking fat guy! Yes I’m a god! Watch this” and Bacchus made wine appear before their very eyes. The trio not sure what to do with the god standing before them, asked Bacchus what he was planning to do now. Bacchus explained he’d probably find the nearest party and get drunk and fuck. The trio explained to Bacchus that they had a small town of a few thousand people, but they weren’t for getting drunk with and fucking. Bacchus unamused asked why was the world so fucked. The trio explained to him the events of World War 3, and Bacchus taken back by the fact that the world was almost completely destroyed offered his services to the trio, after all he was a god. The trio not sure what they could use a fat, vulgar, and burping alcoholic god, reluctantly accepted. Bacchus though not much help did keep spirits up, both in drink and entertainment. By 2042 Italy was beginning to look like a decent town. When a robot ascended from the skies and landed before them. Stating his name “Unit 1, a highly intelligent robot created by Vulcan and the Republic”. “VULCAN?!” Bacchus exclaimed, “Vulcan, the god?” Unit 1 explained to Bacchus the events of the passed few years and Vulcan’s building of Mega City and The Republic of Earth HQ and explained that Vulcan has request Bacchus and his trio to the Republic of Earth HQ. Constable, Headknocker, Brickbreak, and Bacchus traveled with Unit 1 to the Republic of Earth HQ to meet with Vincent Hurley, Isabel Marshall, and The Champions. The Champions humble and honored to meet them explained how Vulcan had heard word of Bacchus and sent for him. Constable explained to The Republic that they were attempting to rebuild Europe and had started a village in the remnants of Rome. The Republic fully supported their efforts and Vulcan and The Republic issued full scale help to Europe to build Mega City Europe and honoring the 4 as the heroes of Europe, dubbing them The European Champions.
