Southridge

The hi ls of Southridge mark the southern boundary of Dunshire. Rangers patrol the hi ls, contending with wild boars, giant ants, and the occasional black bear.

The Sunset Rim

The Sunset Rim is an escarpment averaging 60 feet high. It runs for nearly 50 miles, forming the base of the Redstone Mountains. The rim’s base holds numerous caves inhabited by tribes of troglodytes, except near Baron Beldon’s realm, where the baron’s slavers use the caves as holding pens for their humanoid stock.

Titan Head Mountains

These desert mountains are named after a mountain peak in Hex 1018. Mighty winds have carved the stone of the peak in the shape of a monstrous giant that legend states was once a titan who turned to evil. As punishment, the gods petrified the titan and left his remains here as a reminder to al that the gods punish evildoers.

Twilight Forest

The Twilight Forest is the last refuge of the Sobekese in Southland. Ruled by Clutch Queen Saravel (Hex 221), the Sobekese have created a sanctuary for the survivors of Silverwood. Treants and other fey creatures work alongside the Sobekese in maintaining the forest boundaries.

The Westwall

Farther south, the Westwal forms the western boundary of the Vasa Province of the Grand Kingdom. The northern terminus ends in Blackmarsh and is home to several clans of Mountain Apes and Fomorians.

The White Mountains

These majestic, snow capped mountains stretch far to the north-west, and are the highest known in the regions. The Dwarven kingdom of Bolzak lies to the south and Olden Hold is the northernmost outpost. The White Mountains teeming with game, and great predators, such as griffins and hippogriffs, making their home in the high aeries. Arimaspi (Cyclops), Cave-men, Fomorians, Hyperkhthoneans, Mountain Apes and Voormis are known to roam to the edge of the mountain ranges looking for fresh meat (preferably human); and will attack small parties of travellers. There are also more unspeakable entities and creatures of the abyss hiding within these vast mountains; things best unspoken of; dæmonic souls of great power; that lie dormant and are perhaps best left undisturbed!

Wicking Lake

This is the largest lake in Southland. Eight miles long and five miles wide, it reaches depths of 100 feet. The local fishermen claim to have seen a crystaline city of unearthly beauty within the depths of the lake. The southeast shore is infested with harpies.

Wolfwood

These woods are inhabited by giant aurochs along with packs of worgs that prey on them. The woods are also known to have a huge variety of herbs, including many rare varieties eagerly sought by alchemists.

Yellow Rapids

This stream emerges from the western end of the Golden Pass in a series of rapids. The occasional spring flood allows safe passage and provides a quick method for reaching Castle Westguard.
