At the apex of Inferno stands Valakar Veyr, the creator and absolute sovereign of the infernal realm. His authority is unquestioned, for every Sphere, demon, and damned soul exists by his design. From the Throne of the Black Sovereign at the heart of Inferno, Val governs the realm and directs the eternal harvest of mortal souls.
Beneath Val stand the Seven Princes, Archdemons manifested directly from the Seven Spheres when Val imposed each Prime Sin upon Inferno. They are not merely rulers, but the living incarnations of their respective Sins, each governing an entire Sphere and commanding its legions. Though sovereign within their own dominions, every Prince ultimately serves the will of Valakar Veyr.
The Dukes and Duchesses are among the oldest and most formidable demons born within their Prince's Sphere. Each governs vast territories, fortress-cities, armies, or great infernal institutions in the Prince's name. They administer their Sphere's laws, oversee the harvesting of souls, command immense legions, and are entrusted with matters too great for lesser nobility.
Answering directly to the Dukes and Duchesses, the Counts and Countesses are powerful infernal nobles granted dominion over provinces, strongholds, war hosts, or specialized orders of demons. Each commands loyal retainers and lesser officers, enforcing the Prince's authority throughout the Sphere while pursuing their own ambitions within the rigid hierarchy.
Below the great houses serve innumerable captains, knights, magistrates, warlords, and lesser demons, each occupying a station determined by the nature of their Sphere. Every legion, court, fortress, and city is bound within this chain of command, ensuring that Inferno functions as a vast empire of perfect tyranny.
