Kyklos is the god of growth, decay, and the endless renewal that follows destruction. She embodies life not as a force opposed to death, but as part of the same unbroken cycle. Birth leads to age, beauty gives way to rot, and all things that perish become the foundation of what follows.
In divine visions and sacred art, Kyklos appears as a serene maiden with golden skin and branching antlers, clothed in living vines, leaves, and flowers. Her shadow reveals her second aspect: gaunt, horned, and monstrous, with a body marked by famine, rot, and the severity of winter. Neither face is false. Together they represent the whole of her nature.
Kyklos teaches that nothing made by mortal hands can endure forever. Kingdoms fall, monuments crumble, forests reclaim roads, and even the greatest works return to soil. She does not condemn creation, but rejects the belief that anything can escape decline.
Her followers are taught to accept loss without surrendering to despair. Ruin clears the ground for renewal, death feeds new life, and endings are necessary for the world to continue. Attempts to preserve life, power, or beauty beyond their natural span are often viewed as violations of her cycle.
Kyklos is revered primarily by druids, foresters, healers, gardeners, and elves who regard change as sacred. Her worship is especially common among those responsible for cultivating land, tending the dead, restoring damaged wilderness, or overseeing seasonal rites.
Her followers rarely build grand temples. Worship is conducted in sacred groves, gardens, burial forests, and places where new growth has emerged from fire, flood, or ruin. Offerings commonly include seeds, fallen flowers, composted remains, or objects deliberately surrendered to decay.
The divine realm of Kyklos is an infinite forest through which the seasons pass without end. One region may stand in full spring bloom while another withers beneath autumn rain or lies silent beneath winter snow. Decay and growth occur beside one another, each feeding the other.
At the heart of the realm, every fallen tree nourishes new roots, every dead creature returns to the earth, and nothing remains unchanged forever. Kyklos rules there in both her radiant and withered aspects, inseparable from the cycle she represents.
