A @Tarokka Deck can be used to conduct readings of a single, or multiple, individual's future, the accuracy of which can vary, depending on who is doing the reading. Only gifted Vistani women can perform tarokka readings and tell futures that are completely accurate, however, other Vistani may also perform such readings, though their results may not be as accurate, but not entirely inaccurate.
When conducting a reading, a @Tarokka Deck is shuffled and split into the Common Deck (fourty cards consisting of the four suits, Swords, Stars, Coins, and Glyphs) and the High Deck (consisting of fourteen cards each denoted by a crown), then the individual(s) participating will draw five cards. The first three cards will be drawn from the Common Deck, while the remaining two are drawn from the High Deck. Each card is placed face down, with the first three being lined up vertically, the fourth card being placed horizontally above them, and the fifth being placed horizontally below them.
The one conducting the reading will then start by flipping over the cards, starting with the cards from the Common Deck, beginning with the card situated to the participant's left. This card represents their past. The middle card represents their present, and the card to the right represents their future. The High Deck card above the three Common Deck cards represents a boon, benefit, or something positive the participant will encounter, while the card below represents a bane, detriment, or something negative the participant will encounter.
As each card is flipped, the conductor will describe the card's meaning. Once all three Common Deck cards have been flipped over, they will decipher them to interpret the participant's life story and coming future. When the conductor then flips over the two High Deck cards, they will describe their meaning and interpret them into something that will give direction to the participant of what is to happen in their future. Usually this boils down to a vague or cryptic sentence for each of the two cards, giving a clear direction or objective.
