A heroic yet feared human mutate known as Abysswalker, Malachi Mourne uses his demonic appearance and rapid teleportation abilities to protect the innocent in Salt Lake City, while battling his own internal struggles with self-loathing and isolation.

Teleportation: Abysswalker possesses the ability to teleport himself, the clothes he is wearing, and additional mass which is in contact with him. He teleports by displacing himself into Hell, traveling through it, and then returning to Earth's dimension at a certain distance from his point of departure. He consciously determines his point of return. The entire process occurs so quickly that Abysswalker is unaware of being in Hell at all. Abysswalker guides himself through Hell by a subconscious, natural direction-finding sense. Although Abysswalker controls his teleportation ability with his conscious mind, his power to teleport is not biological or psionic. Rather it is the result of an unknown extradimensional reaction which he triggers mentally. When he disappears in teleporting, Abysswalker leaves behind smoke with a stench reminiscent of burning brimstone. This is a small portion of the atmosphere of Hell that escapes while the aperture is open. His teleportation is invariably accompanied by the muffled sound of imploding air rushing to fill the vacuum left where Abysswalker's body was.
Subconscious Spatial Awareness: Abysswalker has a very limited subconscious extrasensory ability that prevents him from teleporting himself so that his feet, for example, would materialize below the surface of the local ground. Because this ability is so limited, however, Abysswalker will not teleport into any place that he cannot see or has not seen in the past. If Abysswalker teleported himself into an unfamiliar area, he would run the risk of materializing partially or entirely within a solid object.
Micro-Suction Discs: Abysswalker can stick to objects with the surface of his bare hands and feet.
Flexible Bone Structure: Abysswalker's bone structure allows him great flexibility. He can remain in a crouched position for a long time and perform contortionist type feats without causing any damage to his spine.
Prehensile Tail: Abysswalker has a tail allows him to grab onto objects with relative ease. His tail is strong enough to not only support his body weight but also lift an adult man completely off the ground. It is deft enough to fight with like a sword or blunt object.
Night Vision: Abysswalker's always glowing eyes grant him a marked degree of heightened night vision.
Superhuman Agility: Abysswalker's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
Superhuman Reflexes: Abysswalker's natural reaction time is enhanced to a level beyond the human body's natural limits.
Master Acrobat: Abysswalker is an Olympic-class acrobat thanks to his flexible spine that allows him to perform contortionist-like feats and to go long periods in a semi-crouching position without injury.
Master Combatant: He is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and a master at fencing, which he can even perform with his tail, which is strong enough to support his entire body weight.
Aviator: He is a professional pilot has also been a jet mechanic for a long time.
Medic: He has taught himself to be a medic when there aren't any qualified personnel around to do so.
Multilingual: Abysswalker is fluent in various languages due to his youth traveling around Europe as the star performer in a circus and knowing the language of wherever they were that week was very handy. Malachi speaks English, Russian, Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian, and German.
A mutate named Morphosis whose body continuously adapts to overcome any danger, often in unpredictable ways, while he strives to protect others despite his own isolation.

Evolutionary Adaptation: Morphosis' powers of self-protection offered continuous circumstantial evolution. Darwin was able to adapt to any situation. His reactive mutation adjusts his capabilities to his environment. Examples of such manifestations include receiving functioning gills after being submerged in wate, gaining night vision after being in the dark for several seconds, being able to survive without oxygen when in space, his skin becoming fireproof when it is exposed to flames, his body becoming pure energy, his intelligence increasing itself or the understanding of an extraterrestrial language by looking at it in written form. However, his powers do not always take the effect he desires as they prioritize his survival above all else.
Immortality: As a byproduct of Morphosis' continuous evolution, he may, in fact, be immortal. He can survive indefinitely in harsh conditions and/or without water or nourishment.
Multilingual: Darwin speaks multiple languages due to his mutation.
A socially awkward supervillain with the ability to manipulate spatial distances through embedded body warps, Jeremy Holloway, also known as Mr. Elsewhere, is an unstable but dangerously clever criminal operating in Salt Lake City.

Portal Creation: Mr. Elsewhere's primary ability is the creation of interdimensional portals through the spots on his body, which he can use to teleport himself and other people or objects to wherever he desires, either by physically removing or popping the spots off his body. He can also cut, remove chunks of, and seemingly levitate objects and matter using his portals.
Dark Matter Physiology: Following the collider explosion, Holloway's body was heavily altered, becoming covered with black "spots" on his body. Not only has his appearance changed, but he received a number of abilities that grew as he gained more power by absorbing dark matter.
Superhuman Physical Attributes: Mr. Elsewhere possesses enhanced strength, being capable of crushing a metal sign with his bare hands, hold up two grown men by their necks with little effort, and overpowering superhumans in close combat. He also displays enhanced reflexes and speed, able to punch and kick through his portals at speeds no normal human could achieve.
Portal-based Attacks: Mr. Elsewhere uses his portals offensively by incorporating them into his movement and strikes, utilizing his momentum to both move faster than and attack his opponents. He can also more generally use his portals to swiftly punch and kick from a distance.
Portal Manipulation: Mr. Elsewhere can move or reposition his portals through body movements such as arm swipes. He can use this ability to cut objects in half or suddenly trap targets within them.
Dark Matter Discs: Mr. Elsewhere can use his portals as ranged weapons by generating small portals in his hands or detaching them from his body and throwing them at his intended target.
Attack Redirection: Mr. Elsewhere can use the portals on his body to redirect attacks back at his opponents.
Disintegration: He appears to be seemingly capable of disintegrating objects with the use of his dark matter portals.
A charismatic and ruthless superhuman overlord from Salt Lake City, Imperion absorbs energy to fuel his growing power and imposing physique, seeking to impose order through absolute control.

Energy Absorption: Evander has the superhuman ability to absorb kinetic energy and metabolize it to enhance his own physical strength, speed, and stamina. This makes him extremely difficult to defeat in battle, as every blow struck against him only makes him stronger. Unusual tactics are required to defeat him, usually by incapacitating him or by attacking him psionically. His power of energy absorption is not limited to kinetic energy, such as punches or projectiles; he can absorb any form of energy (e.g. electrical, magical, etc.) to fuel his powers. According to Kane, kinetic energy merely works the best. Without absorbing energy, Kane is merely a strong ordinary human, though normally he works to keep his strength at a superhuman level.
