IRON

The imposing hills and mountains of the Ironlands are rich in iron ore. Most prized of all is the star-forged black iron.

Inscrutable metal pillars, obelisks, the height of a man or even taller are found throughout the land. These are made of iron. No one knows their purpose or who created them, but often strange angular runes cross their surfaces and certainly they must convey some message or hold some power. Some say they have latent power for good. Some may have been placed as wards against vile creatures. Others have been used as focal points for vile sacrifices to gain dark powers.
