Columbina's Binding Vow & Information

Binding Vow: Covenant of Adoration

Columbina’s Binding Vow, Covenant of Adoration, grants her access to immense reserves of cursed energy through the worship of her followers. This vow is a double-edged sword, binding her to the adoration of her "flock" while tethering her strength to their devotion.

Details of the Binding Vow:

Worship as a Conduit:

Columbina’s followers naturally leak cursed energy due to their lack of jujutsu training. By accepting her as their "divine savior," they offer their cursed energy to her in reverence. This energy, gathered through the emotional intensity of their worship (love, awe, or fear), funnels into her body, vastly amplifying her reserves.

Conditions of the Vow:

Columbina must maintain her followers’ faith. If they lose faith in her divinity, the flow of cursed energy diminishes.

She is required to appear in her "divine" form to her flock, reinforcing her facade of purity and immortality. This compels her to preserve her youthful, celestial appearance at all times.

Columbina cannot directly harm her followers. If she does, the Binding Vow will dissolve, and her access to their energy will be lost.

Boons of the Vow:

Cursed Energy Amplification: Her followers’ cumulative cursed energy surpasses that of even Yuta Okkotsu, allowing her to sustain her high-energy techniques.

Divine Aura: The intense belief of her followers causes her presence to naturally repel weaker curses and inspires awe in non-sorcerers, enhancing her cult-like appeal.

Pseudosymbiosis: Her followers gain a faint spiritual resilience, reducing their vulnerability to curses and negative phenomena, further deepening their devotion.

Risks and Costs:

Dependency: Should the faith of her followers wane, her cursed energy supply will falter, potentially leaving her vulnerable.

Isolation: Her reliance on worship distances her from genuine human connection, reinforcing her ethereal and disconnected demeanor.

Psychological Strain: Maintaining the illusion of divinity for decades takes a toll, leaving her emotionally detached from those around her.

How She Maintains the Illusion:

Youthful Appearance:

Through her cursed technique and an application of her reversed technique (Restoration Hymn), Columbina perpetually maintains her youthful, doll-like form, appearing no older than 13. This "eternal youth" is one of the primary reasons her followers believe in her divinity. At first she used her reversal technique to keep her youth but once she gained enough followers and in turn more cursed energy, she relied on her lapse technique to keep her youthful instead of making herself a bit younger every few weeks. Relying on her Lapse technique was more effective as well since it took less cursed energy and is now at an upkeep of 24/7.

Miracles and Prophecy:

Columbina regularly uses her powers to perform "miracles," such as healing the sick, banishing curses, or predicting natural disasters. In reality, these acts are precise applications of her abilities and knowledge of cursed energy phenomena.

Charismatic Leadership:

Despite her detached and enigmatic personality, Columbina has an uncanny ability to inspire faith through poetic rhetoric and ethereal beauty. Her words resonate deeply with those who feel lost or afraid.

Selective Protection:

Columbina ensures that her followers are minimally targeted by curses, channeling a portion of the cursed energy she absorbs into warding barriers around their homes and places of worship.

Reputation and Worship:

Columbina is seen as both a savior and a prophet. To her followers, she is a celestial being whose presence alone brings peace and protection. Her title among them is "The Eternal Dove" (永遠の鳩 - Eien no Hato), a symbol of purity and salvation. Non-followers view her with suspicion or reverence, though some believe her to be a fraud.

Her cult has grown into a significant religious movement with temples, rituals, and songs dedicated to her. Followers sing hymns in her honor, gather in mass prayers, and decorate shrines with her likeness—typically statues of her youthful form with her eyes covered by the iconic cross-shaped cloth.

Influence on the Jujutsu World:

Her massive cursed energy reserves, fueled by her followers, surpass those of special-grade curses like Sukuna or even Gojo by a lot. This makes her a subject of intrigue and wariness among high-level sorcerers and cursed spirits alike.

Kenjaku: Would see Columbina as a potential obstacle to their plans, as her influence could derail their attempts to manipulate humanity’s cursed energy output.

Sukuna: Acknowledges her as a potential rival due to her sheer power and angelic, divine-like presence, which contrasts with his demonic nature.

Gojo: Finds her fascinating but unpredictable, recognizing her immense power but unsure of her true motivations.

Columbina’s Reputation: A Divine Figure Shrouded in Mystery

Columbina’s reputation is a blend of awe, fear, and skepticism, shaped by her unmatched power, her cult’s religious fervor, and her enigmatic nature. She stands as one of the most famous individuals in the world, a figure whose influence transcends the supernatural realm into global culture, economics, and politics.

Global Perception

Her Followers (The Adoring Choir):

For the billion-strong members of her cult, Columbina is divine, the Eternal Dove, a celestial messenger of peace and salvation. They believe her to be immortal, a being sent to guide humanity against curses and chaos. Her followers organize their lives around her teachings and rituals, donating money, resources, and even their cursed energy to her cause.

Key Beliefs of the Cult:

Columbina’s eternal youth is proof of her divine origin.

Her miracles (healing, curse banishment, etc.) are acts of mercy.

Worshiping her ensures protection from curses and misfortune.

The cult functions as an organized religion, with a clear hierarchy of priests, temples in nearly every major city, and a central cathedral built on sacred ground (rumored to be the site of her first "miracle"). Their donations have made her one of the wealthiest individuals alive, with a net worth rivaling entire nations.

Non-Followers and the Public:

Outside her cult, Columbina is a global celebrity, with her image plastered across media as a symbol of hope, mysticism, and controversy. Opinions about her vary widely:

Believers-in-Doubt: Many non-followers still admire her for her apparent ability to ward off curses and heal others. These individuals are not part of the cult but still see her as a miraculous figure, perhaps not divine but extraordinary nonetheless.

Skeptics: Others believe Columbina’s youthful appearance is the result of a medical condition or extreme cosmetic procedures. Some conspiracy theories suggest she is replaced by a lookalike every few decades to maintain the illusion of immortality. These skeptics point to alleged inconsistencies in her mannerisms or appearance over time.

Critics: Some regard her cult as a manipulative organization exploiting people’s fears for financial gain. Governments and institutions often view the cult with suspicion, though her influence and popularity make any direct opposition politically risky.

Perception Among Clans and Their Leaders

Gojo Clan:

The Gojo clan views Columbina with curiosity and a degree of wariness. As descendants of the Six Eyes and Limitless techniques, they are accustomed to being the center of attention in the jujutsu world. Columbina’s existence challenges that supremacy, though Satoru Gojo himself finds her intriguing rather than threatening.

Satoru Gojo’s Perspective: He acknowledges her power and influence but does not feel personally threatened. Her refusal to engage in open conflict aligns with his belief that she isn’t an immediate enemy. He has jokingly referred to her as "the world’s favorite mysterious teenager."

Zen’in Clan:

The traditionally rigid and hierarchical Zen’in clan sees Columbina as an anomaly, someone who doesn’t fit into the established jujutsu system. They respect her power but resent her independence and influence.

Clan Elders’ Perspective: The elders view her as dangerous, fearing she might upend the balance of power.

Younger Generations: Some younger members admire her, secretly questioning the Zen’in clan’s rigid structures.

Kamo Clan:

The Kamo clan, with its history of experimenting on bloodlines and cursed techniques, harbors a mix of envy and disdain. Columbina’s power and influence far exceed theirs, which frustrates them.

Perspective: They quietly investigate her cult for potential weaknesses but avoid direct confrontation. The Kamo clan suspects that her cursed technique involves parasitism (the absorption of energy from her followers).

Jujutsu Society:

The governing body of sorcerers officially considers Columbina an "independent operative," acknowledging her power while maintaining a cautious stance. Her refusal to align with any clan or the society makes her an unpredictable entity.

Reputation Among Cursed Spirits:

Kenjaku:

Kenjaku sees Columbina as a rival ideologically and strategically. Her ability to absorb cursed energy from humans conflicts with Kenjaku’s plans to manipulate cursed energy for their own goals. However, Kenjaku also finds her intriguing, considering whether she could be incorporated into their schemes or, if necessary, eliminated.

Sukuna:

Sukuna respects her power but sees her as fundamentally antithetical to his philosophy of domination and destruction. Her serene and divine presence irritates him, though he acknowledges her strength as being close to his own. He would relish the opportunity to test her resolve in battle.

Other Cursed Spirits:

Most cursed spirits fear Columbina, recognizing that her power is bolstered by a massive reservoir of cursed energy, thanks to her followers.

Economic and Cultural Influence

Wealth and Assets:

Columbina’s wealth is staggering, with temples and organizations spanning every continent. Her personal cathedral in Europe is a masterpiece of architecture, blending modern and angelic designs.
