Geography
@Kakureta Kuni is a vast island nation shaped by stone, tide, and war. Its eight distinct regions form a tapestry of natural beauty, ancestral power, and human struggle—each bound by their own terrain, culture, and unspoken history. Movement between regions is slow, influenced by natural barriers, forgotten roads, and clan-controlled passages. From coastal ashes to moonlit ridges, Kakureta’s geography is inseparable from its fate.
@Shugosei-no-Kuni – The Land of Guardian Spirits
A mist-shrouded highland region in the north, home to monastic orders, hidden temples, and the sacred mountain paths. The province’s isolation preserves spiritual traditions and martial rituals, its cliffs housing both wisdom and ghosts.
@Haisogen-no-Kaigan – The Ash Coast
The western seaboard, scarred by war and piracy. Its ashen beaches, sun-bleached bones, and crumbling forts speak of centuries of conflict. Now a haven for smugglers, exiles, and forgotten blades.
@Minamikusa-no-Kuni – Land of Southern Grasses
A self-reliant frontier of fertile plains, slow rivers, and spiritual resilience. Known for its matriarchal lineages and deep connection to nature. Farmers, herbalists, and forest mystics call this southern pocket home.
@Senkatano – The Forest of Forgotten Banners
An overgrown battleground in the south-central region, where moss covers shattered armor and trees grow through blood-soaked earth. A place for ronin, cursed duels, and unburied grudges.
@Kōkaiten – The Imperial Heartland
The political and historical center of Kakureta. This central province is home to the capital, the shattered shogunate, and noble estates. Once a beacon of order, now a stage for intrigue and civil unraveling.
@Gekisen-no-Hara – The Warlord Plains
Open flatlands contested by warlords, mercenaries, and rebel daimyo. Forts rise and fall with the seasons. Every hill is a claim, every river a border. This region bleeds ambition.
@Retsudō-no-Kuni – The Land of Severed Paths
A fractured legacy province filled with ancient roads, forgotten martial schools, and minor noble factions. Once revered as a cultural heart, now shattered by pride and political erosion.
@Tōgetsuden – The Eastern March of the Moon
A serene and mystic coastal highland where swordsmanship and poetry intertwine. Clans here follow the cycles of the moon, heed omens, and preserve traditions older than the shogunate itself.
