Introduction

Home to the Shek[1] and headed by queen Esata "the Stone Golem", the Shek Kingdom is a very sparsely populated[2] and tribalistic faction that resides almost entirely[3] within the ranges of Stenn Desert.

They are a nation composed of battlehungry and stubborn tribal raiders who were unified under Kral, a legendary Shek warrior who consolidated the warring Shek tribes into a centralized nation hundreds of years ago[4], and have raided and warred against their neighbors ever since[5].

Their entire culture revolves around fighting and dying, and such a mindset has drastically reduced their population to the point that The Holy Nation's population is at least a few hundred times larger than them[6][7].

They aim to assert their supremacy above all other nations and races (i.e. Humans and Hivers) that they consider to be weaker. In pursuit of this ideal, they have taken an aggressive stance with regards to the outside nations, and they are no strangers to warring, raiding, killing and demanding tribute from their neighbors[5][8] to assert their dominance.

However, their recent assaults and total wars against The Holy Nation (and United Cities) has crippled their population demographics and driven their country to the brink of extinction[9], and they were forced to relent on their aggressive policies or face certain destruction.

As a result, they had to sign a truce with UC[10], and also forbade the attacking of outsiders in their cities to focus their efforts on plaguing The Holy Nation[11]. They also opened up their cities to outside trade until they manage to recover themselves to a sufficient degree[12]. Their society has suffered a great fracture in cohesion, and a significant portion of[13] of their Sheks have already deserted the main kingdom itself to join Kral's Chosen under Flying Bull, with the rest on the smaller ones like Berserkers and Band of Bones.

They love to hate Okranites[14], and will often start unprovoked assaults[15][16] in an attempt to kill any that they see[17]. Their nation often conducts raids to terrorize their nation[18][19][20]. The goal of their leadership revolves entirely around crippling The Holy Nation[21].

Fighting prowess are valued above all else in their society[22], to such a degree that they have sidelined all intellectual pursuits, and vast majority of Sheks are illiterate as a result[23].
