The military of the Holy Nation fields the largest[118] military force that dwarves the military of all other factions by size[6][7], charged with securing their borders from Fogmen[119], Cannibals[120], Sheks[121], United Cities[122] Flotsam Ninjas[123] and are capable of fighting at multiple fronts simultaneously[124][125] alongside having enough manpower to completely destroy the Shek Kingdom's Kamikaze[126][127].
Their main bulk of forces are typically characterized of high-quantity but low-quality forces[128] typically composed of a few Paladins and Sentinels located at the front leading a large group of Holy Chosen into battle. It shouldn't be assumed that they are all unskilled though as their elites, the High Paladin[129] and Inquisitor[130] squads located in core regions, have skill levels that ranges from being comparable to being even superior to the other faction's equivalent[131].
Their military leadership is overwhelmingly centralized around 3 individuals who runs the chain of command across entire fronts, which is split between Phoenix[132] & Seta focused on the south[133][134] (countering the Shek Kingdom[135][136] and other Shek raiders[137]), while Valtena manages much of the eastern front on his own (countering the United Cities[138]). The high inquisitors are also both noted to be exceptionally talented[139][140], where the forces under their command are larger than the militaries of entire factions[141][142].
The patrols of HN include:
Holy Army Force (Bast, Skimsands) (pot. Border Zone, Skinner's Roam)
3 ~ 5 Paladins
6 ~ 8 Holy Sentinels
30 ~ 45 Holy Chosen
Holy Army Patrol (Okran's Pride, Okran's Gulf, Okran's Valley, Bast, Skimsands) (pot. Border Zone, Skinner's Roam, Stenn Desert)
4 ~ 6 Paladins
6 ~ 10 Holy Servants
Inquisitor Roam (Okran's Pride, Okran's Gulf, Okran's Valley)
Holy Prisoner Caravan (Okran's Pride)
1 Paladin
6 ~ 8 Holy Sentinels
N W Caravan (Okran's Pride, Okran's Gulf)
5 ~ 10 Caravan Guards
0 ~ 3 Pack Bulls
Commander Nix, mentioned in Ludin's reports, is an unspecified military leader who apparently ranks between High Paladin and Inquisitor.
Although the guards and soldiers of the Holy Nation are almost exclusively male Greenlanders, women can still be sometimes found serving as Shop Guards, Caravan Guards, as well as Slavers at the Holy Mines. The near total absence of Scorchlanders in Holy Nation territory is likely due to their freedom seeking and adventurous nature, which does not get along well with rules or religion.[143][144]
If the player sets up an outpost in the Holy Nation territory, a squad lead by a Holy Priest and consisting of 5 High Paladins and 4 Holy Servants will visit the player every week for a special Prayer Day event. If ignored for long enough, or if the interaction goes poorly, they will leave and a Holy Nation Assault (Minor) will be launched 36 to 48 hours afterward.
Members of this faction can color armour and clothing due to a colour scheme attached. There is one colour scheme associated with this faction and four different ones associated separately with this faction's characters.
