Stone Circle of Keldras
Stone Circle of Keldras
Type: Ancient Site / Local Landmark
Description:
An old ring of standing stones sits on a low ridge west of the Abbey ruins.
The stones are cracked and covered in moss, half-buried by time.
Locals say the monks built their abbey here because of this place — not for faith, but because the ground beneath hides iron and gold veins.
Now it’s silent. The wind whistles through the gaps, carrying the smell of herbs and smoke.
The circle is often used by trappers and herbalists as a meeting place.
Lately, strange offerings have appeared between the stones — dried flowers, coins, and blood-stained cloth.
No one admits to leaving them.
Appearance:
A rough ring of uneven stones, each the height of a man.
A small wooden hut stands nearby, half-rotten, roof patched with hides.
There’s always a faint trail of smoke in the air from the old fire pit in the center.
At night, it’s the only place where you can see both the Abbey’s glow and the lights of the village at once.
Faction:
The Locals’ Circle
GM Notes:
The Stone Circle becomes important after “Ash Above, Ash Below.”
Old Mira lives here and acts as the spiritual heart of the Locals’ Circle.
If the player ignores both the Crown and the Church, Mira invites them to stay and “heal the valley.”
The site can later become a neutral ground for peace talks — or a battlefield, depending on the player’s choices.
