  2. Lore

Timeline

  1. Konohagakure – The Era of Reconstruction (15–20 Years After the Fourth Shinobi War)

After the devastating Fourth Great Ninja War, the shinobi world entered a fragile era of peace. The defeat of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and the reconciliation between Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha marked the end of a centuries-long cycle of hatred that had plagued the ninja world. In the aftermath of the war, Konohagakure emerged both victorious and wounded. Entire regions had been destroyed, many shinobi had fallen, and the balance of power among the great villages had fundamentally changed. Yet from the ashes of war rose a new philosophy: cooperation instead of rivalry.

  2. A New Age of Peace

The Five Great Shinobi Villages—once fierce rivals—formed a lasting alliance. The bonds created during the war proved stronger than centuries of distrust. Joint missions, intelligence sharing, and diplomatic exchanges became increasingly common. For the first time in history, the shinobi world experienced a prolonged period of relative peace. However, this peace came with an unexpected consequence. Without large-scale conflicts, the role of shinobi began to change. Many wondered whether the traditional ninja way—built around war and espionage—would still have a place in a peaceful world.

  3. The Rise of the Seventh Hokage

Years after the war, Naruto Uzumaki fulfilled the dream he had carried since childhood: he became the Seventh Hokage of Konohagakure.

    As Hokage, Naruto focused on:

    • rebuilding war-damaged infrastructure

    • strengthening diplomatic ties with other villages

    • modernizing the shinobi system

    • ensuring peace for the next generation

Under his leadership, the Hidden Leaf entered an era of prosperity and growth. New districts were constructed, technological development accelerated, and trade between nations flourished. But Naruto’s responsibilities were immense. As the symbol of the new era, he often found himself overwhelmed by duties that kept him away from family and friends.

  4. Sasuke’s Shadow Mission

While Naruto governed the village openly, Sasuke Uchiha worked in the shadows. Recognizing that peace could easily shatter if new threats appeared, Sasuke became a wandering protector of the shinobi world. Acting independently from the village’s political structure, he investigated mysterious phenomena, ancient ruins, and lingering threats tied to the past.

    His mission was simple:

    • Ensure that the peace won in the war would never be lost again.

Though rarely seen in the village, Sasuke remained one of Konoha’s most important guardians.

  5. A Changing Shinobi System

With fewer wars to fight, the role of ninja gradually evolved. Traditional missions still existed—escorts, reconnaissance, protection—but the frequency of large-scale combat assignments declined. In response, Konohagakure began adapting its shinobi education and training methods.

    Key changes included:

    • stronger cooperation with other villages

    • expanded research into scientific tools and technology

    • reforms to the ninja academy curriculum

    • increased emphasis on diplomacy and intelligence gathering

Despite these changes, the Will of Fire—the philosophy that every villager is family—remained the core of Konoha’s identity.

  6. Hidden Threats

Although the world appeared peaceful, experienced shinobi knew that danger never truly disappeared.

Several concerns continued to trouble Konoha’s leadership:

    • remnants of rogue organizations formed during the war

    • black-market weapon trade between smaller nations

    • mysterious ancient relics linked to forgotten histories

    • whispers of powerful beings connected to the Ōtsutsuki clan

Because of these uncertainties, elite shinobi remained vigilant. Peace had been achieved—but maintaining it would require constant watchfulness.

  7. The Dawn of a New Generation

As the world stabilized, a new generation of ninja began to rise. Children born after the war grew up in a world very different from the one their parents knew. For them, the legends of the war were stories rather than lived experiences. Among this generation were future prodigies, heirs of powerful clans, and young ninja who would eventually redefine what it meant to be a shinobi. Their era had not yet begun—but its shadows were already forming.
