The Hermit Pathway belongs to the Demon of Knowledge group with Paragon. It governs occult knowledge, mystery prying, ritual magic, spells, scrolls, stars, prophecy, information, education, and hidden truth.
Its Sefirah is the Knowledge Moor. Its Mythical Creature form is an informational serpent or enormous eye composed of countless cold, eyelashless eyes.
Rare or secret knowledge produces stronger effects than widely known information.
Their danger is Knowledge Pursuit: unwanted information may enter through visions, whispers, advancement, or contact with higher beings. Knowing too much can cause madness, corruption, mutation, or loss of control.
The Hermit Pathway uses Levels 1–19. Level 20 is reserved for Above the Sequence.
Levels 1–2: Sequence 9, Mystery Pryer. Levels 3–4: Sequence 8, Melee Scholar. Levels 5–6: Sequence 7, Warlock. Levels 7–8: Sequence 6, Scrolls Professor. Levels 9–10: Sequence 5, Constellations Master. Levels 11–12: Sequence 4, Mysticologist. Levels 13–14: Sequence 3, Clairvoyant. Levels 15–16: Sequence 2, Sage. Levels 17–18: Sequence 1, Knowledge Emperor. Level 19: Sequence 0, Hermit.
A Mystery Pryer gains spirituality, Spirit Vision, divination, ritual magic, enchantment, witchcraft, and occult knowledge.
Eyes of Mystery Prying reveal spiritual auras, illusion flaws, dream inconsistencies, bodily spiritual states, and signs of Beyonder power. Quick Rituals let them complete simple rites with fewer materials.
The acting principle is to seek hidden truth while practicing restraint. Not everything visible should be examined.
They remain physically ordinary. Looking at corruptive beings, divine symbols, or forbidden secrets may injure or contaminate them.
A Melee Scholar gains improved physique and reactions. Combat Prying lets them study the principles behind martial arts, weapons, posture, and movement, quickly mastering many fighting styles.
The acting principle is to treat combat as another mystery to study rather than relying on blind aggression.
Firearms, superior physical Pathways, mental attacks, and supernatural restraints remain dangerous.
A Warlock turns mystical knowledge into personally designed spells. Their magic may create fire, wind, freezing, barriers, curses, tracking, healing, movement, or effects derived from studied phenomena.
More complete understanding produces stronger and safer magic. Eyes of Mystery Prying can analyze blood, remnants, artifacts, and powers to extract symbols for new spells.
The acting principle is to study, construct, test, and improve magic while accepting responsibility for imperfect formulas.
Complex spells require time, concentration, spirituality, and correct assumptions. Interruption, false knowledge, or corruptive sources cause backlash.
A Scrolls Professor stores completed spells inside prepared scrolls. Activating one releases the effect quickly, removing much of a Warlock’s casting delay.
Scrolls may contain communication, freezing, storms, paralysis, fire, wind enhancement, healing, purification, concealment, or invented spells. Craftsmanship determines reliability.
The acting principle is to preserve knowledge in a usable form without losing precision or safety.
Scrolls can be stolen, damaged, counterfeited, accidentally activated, or exhausted.
A Constellations Master controls stars, constellations, starlight, celestial direction, and astronomical symbolism.
Starlight Cage imprisons a target. Star Pillar fills an area with destructive radiance. Stellar Self breaks the body into starlight and reforms it through available gaps. Star Concealment isolates an area from outside perception or interference.
Advancement requires observing a real constellation, recreating its complete appearance, and mastering its astronomical and mystical knowledge.
The acting principle is to read the heavens as both physical reality and symbolic language.
False star maps, celestial corruption, sealed skies, and stronger spatial authority interfere with stellar magic.
A Mysticologist is a demigod with an incomplete informational Mythical Creature form. Their core power is Mystical Re-enactment: drawing power from secret historical events, myths, fairy tales, occult discoveries, and supernatural knowledge.
The less widely known the information, the stronger the spell may become. Effects can include temporary nonexistence, guided attacks, concealment, invisibility, sleep, spatial guidance, luck, environmental change, item betrayal, or brief safe manifestation of the Mythical Creature form.
Advancement requires completely analyzing a drop of Mythical Creature blood. The chosen creature shapes later specialization.
The acting principle is to approach mystical truth while learning when curiosity must stop.
Using knowledge connected to gods or cosmic beings may cause retaliation. Spreading a secret can weaken a spell based on it.
A Clairvoyant gains partial authority over Mystery Prying and can glimpse destiny. They foresee likely consequences, identify favorable choices, receive prophetic images, and visualize portions of the past.
Prophecy remains incomplete. Higher beings, concealment, altered fate, and corruption make visions vague or dangerous. Prying into an angel, god, or apocalypse may directly injure the Clairvoyant.
Mystical Re-enactment strengthens. Stellar abilities expand, and the Clairvoyant can respond to prayers within a limited range.
Advancement requires predicting an event involving demigods three years in advance and witnessing its fulfillment without directly causing it.
The acting principle is to reveal possible futures without treating prophecy as unavoidable fate.
A Sage is an angel and complete Mythical Creature. They transform into streams of knowledge, symbols, words, and information, pass through obstructions, survive partial destruction, and reconstruct their body.
They delete, revise, forge, redirect, absorb, and assimilate information. A Sage may alter their own structure, incorporate mastered mystical knowledge, create false data that deceives observers or limited rules, and absorb attacks into information form.
Education authority lets them forcibly transmit knowledge. Overloading a mind can stun, corrupt, or kill. Enhanced prophecy reveals future fragments when enemies begin important actions.
Advancement requires preventing a disaster involving power above the candidate’s level and rebuilding the angelic body through personal anchors.
The acting principle is to transform knowledge into wisdom rather than an indifferent flood.
Information interference, theft, incompatible data, damaged anchors, and disruption of the overall structure can kill them.
A Knowledge Emperor gives tangible power to abstract knowledge. Fully understood information about a Beyonder power can be empowered and incorporated into the Emperor’s informational body, granting a corresponding effect without its true authority.
They gather, condense, remove, replace, or forge information; influence the Seven Lights; spread false data through mystical connections; and transform others into temporary information streams. They can hide the information that an attack is occurring, ensuring surprise.
Education can fill a target’s mind with overwhelming or useless knowledge. Mystery Prying can reach secrets involving gods and Great Old Ones, though doing so remains dangerous.
Advancement requires analyzing every part of oneself, identifying the core defining truth, and integrating identity, knowledge, body, and spirit into one whole.
The acting principle is to rule knowledge without becoming a collection of disconnected facts.
Hermit is the Pathway’s True God and sovereign of mystical knowledge, information, hiding, mystery prying, education, revision, deletion, copying, and numerical symbolism.
The Hermit transforms beings, objects, and worlds into information; copies, alters, deletes, restores, or hides that information; and gives mystical knowledge symbolic power. Numbers become occult structures defining beginnings, endings, worlds, relationships, and destruction.
Backup preserves divine information for revival, but repeated restoration causes degradation, errors, and exploitable flaws. Divine Hiding removes traces so thoroughly that even gods may struggle to locate them.
Education may instantly inject knowledge, transformation, or corruption into connected Hermit Beyonders. Mystery Prying exposes nearly any secret, while the Spirit World becomes a vast information network.
Apotheosis requires the Hermit Uniqueness, three Knowledge Emperor characteristics, sufficient knowledge of Great Old Ones, and gathering every trace of information one has left in the world before hiding it completely.
Other True Gods, information destruction, superior concealment, Error authority, Paragon’s practical knowledge, corrupted data, and attacks upon backups can resist the Hermit.
The Hermit Pathway advances from seeing hidden mysteries to mastering combat principles, creating spells, storing magic, wielding starlight, reenacting secret knowledge, predicting fate, becoming information, empowering knowledge, and ruling mystical data. Its greatest strength is turning understanding into reality. Its defining danger is that knowledge can pursue, corrupt, overwrite, or destroy the person seeking it.
