Hideouts
Yakuza architecture can best be described as cyberpunk business offices, restaurants, or public computer cafes. They favor legitimate looking business buildings where they can set up and hide gang hideouts in the back or underground.
Markings
Yakuza clothing heavily features well-made tailored suits or traditional Japanese kimonos. Certain symbolic tattoos often showcase loyalty or rank, but they are usually concealed underneath clothing. The higher-ranking members prefer to look like upstanding business entrepreneurs. They do not mark their territory to avoid drawing attention to their holdings.
Criminal History
The Yakuza are known for network hacking, corporate espionage, assassination, stolen property, and prostitution. The ‘Kuza’ are also known to have a complete lack of empathy for anyone not of Saisen racial background calling them ‘Kachinonai’ or worthless. Originally a criminal organization that carried over from Earth, the Yakuza settled into Luna City secretly alongside the Saisentan MegaCorp. Establishing computer network and physical security services that grew into a larger lucrative criminal enterprise. They also secretly conduct illegal operations against the other MegaCorps on behalf of the Saisentan MegaCorp. The Yakuza cater to Saisen corporate rejects and outsiders who are desperate or lured into the criminal lifestyle. They offer money and technology to those that are desperate in exchange for services and loyalties. However to be an important or ranking individual member in the organization members must undergo a lengthy vetting process to become ‘Fudo No’ or unshakable, where loyalty is heavily tested. Once their loyalty is proven beyond question, ‘Fudo No’ individuals are then allowed to start their own crew or given more important tasks for the Yakuza. Every member of the gang must maintain loyalty oaths and obey their superiors, or they are killed.
