Ilmari, God of Wind
Domains & Aspects:
Wind, air, sky, tornadoes, flight, birds, speed, freedom, relentlessness, windmills, airships, vast plains and peaks.
Symbols:
A tornado or spiral of air; a hawk in mid-flight; three feathers.
Realm:
The Boundless Drift — An endless expanse of azure horizons, where the winds never cease. Floating isles of stone and crystal drift endlessly, tethered only by the breath of the wind. Great windmills turn lazily on some islands, while others hold roosts for flocks of radiant birds, skybeasts and air spirits. Eternal currents sweep through the vastness, some soft as a summer breeze, others roaring like wild storms. Colossal tornadoes remain in place like spiraling towers of wind, serving as both barriers and gateways to deeper reaches of the sky. At the heart of it all, floats Ilmari’s own Skyrend Isle, a vast plateau of white stone and silver trees that sing with every gust, crowned by a great spire of translucent crystal that hums with the voices of the wind.
Personality:
Carefree and easygoing, Ilmari drifts through existence like a wandering breeze, whimsical and ever-changing. He treasures freedom above all, shunning chains or restraints of any kind. Often lighthearted and playful, he can be as gentle and refreshing as a soft wind, yet when stirred or pushed too far, his strength becomes relentless, hard and forceful as storm winds, and as devastating as a hurricane’s fury. In him, the sky’s duality is ever-present, a spirit of boundless freedom that can soothe or destroy.
Appearance:
A resembles a translucent male elf made of pure, constantly flowing grey wind, his long greyish hair constantly flowing like the wind itself and eyes made of pure blue tinted, deep green glowing eyes. Half the time he will appear as an anthropomorphic eagle in leather armor or occasionally just a human or elf with grey hair and light grey blue eyes.
