Sahareth, God of the Desert

Sahareth, God of the Desert

Domains & Aspects:

Deserts, sand, oasis, wastelands, clay, glass, survival, crafting, relief in desperation.

Symbols:

A desert hill with a cactus and a coyote; a clay tablet; a water jug sitting on top of a tortoise beneath a sun.

Realm:

The Great Mirage — An infinite desert of golden and red dunes beneath a relentless sun, where the horizon always shimmers with heat. The dunes shift ceaselessly, sculpted by hot winds into ever changing landscapes. Scattered across the expanse lie many oases, pockets of life where palms, cacti, flowering succulents and desert herbs flourish. Rivers of sand sometimes carve themselves into canyons of polished rock and glass, reflecting the sun’s brilliance. Desert fauna roam freely, serpents, foxes, great lizards, hawks and beetles, alongside mystical desert spirits and shimmering fae born of mirage and moonlight. Deep in the heart lies The Solmirage, radiant sanctuary hidden deep within the endless desert, where a crystalline spring nourishes an oasis of palms, flowering succulents, and hardy desert herbs. The waters glimmer like molten glass, cool and sweet, said to never run dry. At its center is the lies his towering temple of sandstone and polished glass, its spires gleaming like fire beneath the relentless sun. The structure seems half born of stone, half of mirage, shimmering as though it were shaped from the desert’s heat itself. Within its vast halls are cool and shadowed, walls etched with flowing carvings of dunes, winds, and suns, while braziers cast steady golden light.

Personality:

Sahareth is harsh but fair, embodying the dual nature of the desert: unforgiving to the unprepared, yet deeply generous to those who endure its trials. Somewhat distant and enigmatic, he observes with a cool, watchful patience. Yet beneath his reserved nature, he is friendly and compassionate toward those who have fought against despair and survived. He respects resilience, resourcefulness and ingenuity above all else. To him, scarcity is a teacher and endurance a form of worship. Though calm and measured, his wrath is like a desert storm, sudden, scouring and merciless, leaving only what is strong enough to remain. He has a love for things sculpted and made out of clay.

Appearance:

He resembles a tall elven male with sand colored, medium length black hair, bright, reddish brown eyes, wears iron and leather armor over light brown robes.
