The Red Suns are a loose, hydra-headed coalition of rebels, outlaws, warlords, prophets, and frontier fanatics who hold the Redlands, a desolate continent of crimson dust, cracked earth, and skeletal canyons across the Ashen Ocean from Rebmos. Their power is focused in Opulent Spire, a single, decadent city crowning a flat-topped mountain—an unnatural mesa rising like a dagger from the wasteland. Built from scavenged Rebmosian steel, sun-bleached bone, and stolen gold, its towers gleam with ether-crystals, a cruel mockery of Kaldius’ grandeur. From this aerie, warlords broadcast orders via hijacked Aetheric arrays, their voices crackling across the dunes.
They have no official leader, only a shifting council of blood-soaked assemblies atop the Spire where votes are cast with knives and oaths. United by a singular, burning intent—to conquer the world—they see Rebmos as the source of all misery and vow to raze the northwest, then the rest of Lymbus, under a banner of “freedom through fire.” Werewolf alphas, ghoul matriarchs, and rogue warlocks manipulate their rage from the shadows.
Red Suns fighters wear red dusters, bandanas, and war-paint; their flag is blood-red with a black rattlesnake coiled around a blazing sun. The Red Suns crest is a red sun crossed with silver scimitars with red trim.
They reject Rebmosian tyranny and the Anointed faith, embracing chaotic Western individualism and revolutionary fervor. They do not have full access to guns and grenades; their arsenals are patchwork—salvaged Rebmosian rifles in short supply, crude black-powder pistols, crossbows tipped with ether-shards, dynamite stolen from mines, and an abundance of bladed and blunt weapons: machetes, tomahawks, war-clubs studded with scrap metal, and lances forged from locomotive parts. They fight with guerrilla cunning, traps, and swarm tactics. Forces include gunslingers with rare ether-revolvers, shamans who summon sandstorms (secretly ghost-driven), and rogue inventors piloting jury-rigged steam-tanks. Their sci-fi edge: salvaged Aetheric Grenades hoarded like relics.
Life in the Redlands is hellish: famine, dust storms, “cursed” wells that poison drinkers. Suspected spies are executed in mob frenzies. Their camps are plagued by “madness” as supernatural entities possess leaders, driving endless war.
