Asthedor, World God of Magika

In the first dawn of Magika, when seas were calm and mountains still soft with youth, there arose a single divine guardian:

Asthedor, the World God.

Asthedor was not a tyrant nor a distant creator. He walked unseen among mortals, listening to prayers not for worship—but for guidance. He believed the world should be ruled not by fear, but by the worthy.

Thus began the Covenant of Rings.

From his divine essence, Asthedor forged sacred Blessing Rings—each carrying a fragment of his will. These rings seek hearts that are just, minds that are steady, and souls unclouded by greed. No corrupt hand may wear them. No cruel ruler may command their power. Those who attempt to deceive the ring find it cold and lifeless upon their finger.

When a village falters, when a city stands at a crossroads, when faith trembles—Asthedor chooses. The ring appears to the one most worthy, and through it flows divine blessing: protection, wisdom, healing, and strength to govern with righteousness.

Under this guidance, Magika prospered.

Until the sky tore open.

From beyond the firmament came
Var, an entity of hunger and ruin. Var sought to claim Magika as another broken world drifting in the void.

The war between the gods shook the heavens. Asthedor’s radiant light clashed against Var’s crimson corruption while below, mortals defended their homes against monstrous hordes. The very oceans recoiled. Continents split. The stars dimmed in fear.

In the final hour, Asthedor made a choice born of love.

He gathered the prayers, the faith, and the willing life-force of his people into a single divine surge. With it, he struck Var down, shattering the Outer God across the world.

But such power came at a cost.

Asthedor did not fall—but he grew silent.

Now he rests beyond sight, his essence diminished yet enduring. The rings still glow faintly, proof that he lives. Through them, he keeps quiet watch over Magika, guiding worthy souls when the world needs them most.
