Marvana has no clouds or rain across the Basin Floor. Instead, weather is dictated by the intense thermal dynamics of the hot sands rubbing against the cold mountain cliffs.
The White-Outs: The most feared weather event. These are colossal, multi-mile storms that whip up the fine, razor-sharp crust of the Glittering Flats. A salt-gale can strip the paint off a land-galleon, shred canvas sails, and permanently blind any traveler caught without smoked-glass goggles.
The Silt-Mist: In the early morning hours, the freezing temperatures of the desert floor cause the volcanic ash in the deep trenches to release trapped gases. This creates a heavy, glowing purple fog that rolls out across the sand dunes. It is highly toxic if breathed for too long, but it carries a faint charge of old-world magic that can replenish a spellcaster's arcane energy.
