Ashwing Bats — Large, dark-scaled bats adapted to volcanic terrain, resistant to smoke and heat. Sightings have increased dramatically and their behavior has grown noticeably more erratic since the furnaces reignited — a subtle environmental tell a GM can use to seed the green smoke plot without stating anything directly. Slagmaw Hounds — Rangy, scarred hunting dogs bred by Mournspire for patrol work, unnervingly loyal to their handlers and almost no one else. Cragclimber Goats — Sure-footed mountain goats hardy enough to survive on the peaks' sparse vegetation, farmed in small numbers for milk and wool.
