A modest fortified settlement in a mountain pass between twin peaks, centered on the Iron Gate — a small, heavily defended checkpoint controlling passage further north. More garrison than town: practical, cold, entirely unglamorous, and proud of it in the understated way frontier posts often are.
Jointly overseen by Cinderbruk and Khazad-Grom, an arrangement that works mostly because neither city particularly wants sole responsibility for a cold, thankless posting. Soldiers stationed here rotate in from both cities; morale is generally decent, helped along by hazard pay neither city begrudges.
