The Kingdom That Wanted Peace
Before Peacesaw became a nation, the land was a brutal frontier domain ruled by Jegeseth, one of the infamous twin @Demon Lord of the Demon Age.
Unlike his brother Lagostus who favored military maneuvering and battlefield tactics, Jegeseth ruled through sheer overwhelming force. His kingdom was a war machine designed for conquest and intimidation.
Jegeseth’s armies were composed of:
• Endless goblin swarms
• Massive troll battalions
• Roaming orc warbands
• Dark Elf battle-magi who controlled battlefield sorcery
The goblins served as expendable shock troops. Orcs formed brutal infantry lines. Trolls acted as living siege engines capable of smashing walls and crushing cavalry. The Dark Elves, bound through magical contracts, served as Jegeseth’s elite magical corps.
Jegeseth cared little for governance or prosperity. The land was treated as a staging ground for armies, not a home for people. Settlements existed only to produce soldiers, resources, or magical components for war.
The region became known across the world as one of the harshest territories under demon rule.
But everything changed when Jegeseth died.
When the twin Demon Lords were slain during the rise of the Twelve Saints, Jegeseth’s vast war kingdom collapsed overnight.
But the region did not fall into freedom.
Instead, the @Dark Elf who had served as Jegeseth’s magicians seized the opportunity. They reorganized the remaining armies and declared a new nation under their rule:
Nox Populi.
Where Jegeseth had ruled through brute force, the Dark Elves ruled through manipulation, shadow politics, and arcane dominance. They believed themselves superior and intended to build a dark empire from the remnants of Jegeseth’s territory.
The surrounding lands seemed destined to fall under their control.
Then they encountered someone they thought would be easy to control.
They were very wrong.
Ludwig Warsaw was a @Saint.
But he did not resemble the other Saints.
He was a giant—a towering figure whose strength seemed almost absurd even among legendary warriors. His hands were massive enough that when he struck the ground, the earth itself shook.
It was said his punches could cause small earthquakes.
Despite this terrifying power, Ludwig was not aggressive.
He was gentle.
Simple-minded.
Peaceful.
He loved animals, good food, and quiet landscapes. He did not seek glory or conquest. Many believed he was unintelligent because he struggled with complex strategies or politics.
The Dark Elves saw him as a perfect slave.
They captured him and attempted to break him through humiliation and punishment.
For days he endured it quietly.
Then one day the Dark Elf overseers made a mistake.
They whipped a dog in front of him.
Ludwig did not understand politics.
He did not understand strategy.
But he understood cruelty.
Ludwig stood up.
He walked to the fortress the Dark Elves had built in the heart of the old demon kingdom.
And he crushed it.
Witnesses say he tore through its outer walls with his bare hands. Towers collapsed under his blows. The entire structure fell inward like a broken sandcastle.
The Dark Elf leadership was buried beneath their own fortress.
The region was suddenly leaderless.
And Ludwig simply walked away.
Eventually the other Saints found him.
Convincing Ludwig to join them was surprisingly simple.
They offered him a very large meal.
After that, he agreed to help.
During the final war against the Demon Lords, Ludwig became one of the most terrifying combatants on the battlefield. Entire demon formations collapsed when he entered the fight. Trolls that once dominated the battlefield suddenly faced a creature even larger and stronger.
Despite this, Ludwig never enjoyed war.
He simply did what his friends asked.
After the Demon Age ended, the liberated territory needed a ruler.
The people insisted Ludwig take the throne.
He reluctantly accepted, but on one condition.
The kingdom would not be named after him.
It would be called @Peacesaw.
The meaning was simple.
“Peace saw the end of war.”
Ludwig hoped the kingdom would stand as a reminder that strength should protect peace—not pursue endless conflict.
At first, the nation flourished.
Settlements rebuilt. Trade resumed. Former soldiers became farmers and builders.
But one threat never disappeared.
The Dark Elves who survived Ludwig’s destruction did not forget.
They rebuilt their power across the border and formally established the nation of Nox Populi—a dark empire devoted to arcane manipulation and world influence.
They hated Ludwig.
They hated Peacesaw.
But Ludwig refused to invade.
Even after border raids and assassinations, he continued offering diplomacy. His dream was that Peacesaw would remain a peaceful nation.
The Dark Elves had no interest in peace.
Eventually they found a solution.
They poisoned him.
Ludwig Warsaw died suddenly.
The kingdom mourned deeply.
For many citizens, Ludwig had been more than a ruler. He was a protector who hated war yet fought when necessary.
His death shattered the fragile peace.
Peacesaw declared war on Nox Populi.
The conflict has now lasted ten years.
Peacesaw is now ruled by @King Borislav Warsaw, a giant descendant of Ludwig.
Unlike Ludwig, Borislav does not believe peace can exist while Nox Populi survives.
The nation has become heavily militarized. Troll and giant battalions train constantly in fortress cities. Desert fortifications line the borderlands where battles with Dark Elf forces continue.
The people of Peacesaw still revere Ludwig as their greatest hero.
Statues of the gentle giant holding a small dog stand in every major city.
They remember a king who wanted peace.
And they fight a war that began the day that peace was stolen from them.
