Symbol of Rank within the Underworld League
Unlike the Adventure League and Exodia Inquisition, which rely on official licenses and sacred artifacts, the Underworld League identifies its members through enchanted rings known as Skull Rings.
These rings serve as proof of membership, rank, and reputation within the criminal world. Each ring is magically bound to its owner and cannot be stolen or worn by someone else. If another person attempts to use the ring, the skull emblem turns black and the magic becomes inert.
The ring also acts as a criminal identity token, allowing members to enter Underworld League safehouses, accept contracts, and communicate with other criminals.
Each ring contains an animated skull emblem that changes as the criminal climbs through the ranks of the Underworld League.
The rings emit faint magical effects similar to moving images, with skulls, shadows, and dark halos swirling across the surface like living shadows.
Every Underworld League ring shares several magical functions.
The ring identifies its owner within the Underworld League network.
It allows members to locate nearby Underworld League safehouses.
It reveals the criminal rank of the wearer to other members.
It cannot be forged or magically disguised.
It can store a small number of criminal contracts accepted by the wearer.
Higher-ranked rings also gain the ability to track other criminals and display bounty targets.
