It's a stage for fighting the elder dragon Xeno'jiiva. It lies deep within the Elder's Recess. It is the place where Xeno'jiiva drew bioenergy to itself. During the second phase, Xeno'jiiva gains use of it's wings, flying to area 2. This forces hunters to call for wingdrakes. A river separates area 1 from the base camp. In order to get to area 1, hunters must use a wingdrake post.
