The Swamp is a location introduced in Monster Hunter 2. It was remade in Monster Hunter Generations and renamed to the Marshlands.
It is situated in a temperate environment characterized by bodies of stagnant water, tall deciduous trees, moist caverns, and patches of tall brown grass. It is inhabited by a variety of monsters, including Bulldrome, both types of Yian Kut-Ku, Gypceros, Shogun Ceanataur, both types of Gravios and Khezu.
