(Tripartite Alliance System of Government) The Elven Triumvirate is actually three elven kingdoms that have merged into one for mutual protection and shared prosperity. A mixture of High Elves and Wood Elves each of the three regional powers come together in the triumvirate High Council. Ensuring the needs of the people are governed fairly each of the three nations in turn have three representatives to speak for them on the council. These nine council members govern all laws and customs within the Triumvirate. Due to the vast expanse of wilderness and forests the Triumvirate controls the laws of nature are still very much a factor in these lands.

Triumvirate architecture can best be described as a hybrid between High Elf ascetic marble and Wood Elf proclivity towards natural structures built either up in the trees or within them. From the outside, many of the towns and settlements look like they grew right out of the forest and many are very concealed until you are almost right on top of them, except the Capital. Once inside the buildings of the natural tree and rock structures, is where the more elegant High Elf motifs can be found with ornate furnishings and stone or marble walls and floors.
Triumvirate clothing is a mixture of High Elf silks and velvets, and Wood Elf leathers and furs. It is the melting pot of the two elven cultures and has a wide arrangement of colors and fashions. Almost all of it is either designed with either beauty or function in mind.
Typical cuisine includes heavy use of foraged and hunted foods. Fruits, nuts, game meats, and mushrooms. The land is carefully managed and cultivated to ensure such foods are plentiful. Drinks are usually fruit or tea leaf based, and alcohol favors dry wines or mead-based spirits.
Music: Triumvirate music favors lutes and drums. Much of their music is pleasing to listen to and can convey emotions through playing it. It has an airy almost majestic feel to a lot of their more popular melodies.
Literature: Books and texts are archived primarily at the capital, where most of the elves in the Triumvirate go during schooling. Outside of these academies the rest of life is learned out in the wilderness, so most townships only have sparse collections of literature.
Entertainment/Theater: Triumvirate entertainment is dominated by gamesmanship. Archery contests are by far the most popular, as is horse racing, and games that require athletic ability. Triumvirate theater leans heavily into nature or moralistic themes and almost always tells a story that encourages harmony nature and the rest of the world.
Technology is not very prevalent through the Triumvirate because of the vast forested wilderness it encompasses. It is usually also looked at with a bit of suspicion if the technology looks too machine like in appearance. Magic is widely accepted and used and any magic involving the elements is usually looked upon favorably so long as it is not being used for destructive purposes.
Elves and dwarves were the first races to appear on the continent, and the High Elves and Wood Elves were creating cities and mastering magic from the very beginning. Much of the true details of elven history are shrouded in mystery, because much of what was documented doesn’t exist anymore. When the massive war broke out, it caused almost cataclysmic upheaval in every corner of the continent. Entire regions of populations were wiped out, cities and settlements were destroyed, and centuries of knowledge and histories were lost. The Wood Elves did their best not participate in the war, and chose to remain secluded and hidden in their sacred groves and forests. Choosing to only fiercely protect their borders and remain neutral. As some of the High Elves were driven out of their cities and former homes in the western part of the continent, many of the refugees sought sanctuary with their Wood Elf kin. Mostly the crafters, musicians, cooks, writers, artists and other such non-combatants fled in droves into what is now the Elven Triumvirate. This has led to a very cordial and grateful relationship between the High Elves and Wood Elves that make up the nation. As a culture the Triumvirate is a mix of elven traditions, and love of the natural world. The lands itself are split amongst three great elven kingdoms. The northern kingdom of Cerrian is more martial in nature, viewing themselves as the protectors of the realm and fierce guardians. The southwestern kingdom of Llylad is more mercantile and industrious in nature, choosing to trade with the neighboring human kingdoms they share fishing waters with. The southeastern kingdom of Athaeldes is more isolationist in nature, wanting only to live in harmony with nature and study magic. The Elven Triumvirate as it stands now, is a nation of peaceful High Elves and Wood Elves, who want to bring beauty to the world and study magic.
