There are rumors that there is a Marilith somewhere in the northwestern parts of the province. Many of the locals are afraid to travel the woods along the borders because of this and would be very grateful for anyone that can remove it.
In the waters off the east coast of Kenshin fishermen are reporting that there are large sections of black inky waters. It is so prevalent that fish and aquatic life do not enter the inky places but nobody can figure out where it is coming from or why. It is however affecting the fishermen greatly, and they would like to see the problem resolved.
On the peninsula east of Kurogami there is a shrine overlooking the sea. People say at night there is a ghostly sword that appears floating just in front of the shrine at midnight. However, nobody has ever been able to touch it, or do anything else. Legends say that once the trick to obtaining the ghostly blade is figured out, the person who does so will be rewarded with an extraordinary sword.
A very sizeable infestation of small spiders has started showing up in various parts of the beaches. The spiders are no larger than the size of a coin but are translucent. They look almost glasslike in nature but have a jelly-like substance to them when touch. Which is extremely lethal if they bite you. Local believe there is some sort of curse that is bringing them, since they are not a known species of spider and are confined to just those specific beach areas.
