(Tribal Communist System of Government) Not having a true system of government Naga culture is almost hive-like and very tribal in nature. Naga’s Landing is a mix of lizard and aquatic races and everyone in it is working towards collective survival. Resources are shared, bartered and distributed where they are needed. Most of the decision making is instinctual with no real rhyme or reason other than the intent towards survival. Tribes are fiercely territorial and will aggressively protect their lands.

There is no economy in Naga’s Landing. Coin is also of no value to them other than a shiny piece of metal they may use as decoration for something. Everything in Naga’s Landing is traded through a barter system where both sides determine what fair trade is between negotiators.
Naga culture is aquatic and most of their buildings are located under the sea. Their underwater kingdom is vast and a marvel of underwater structures and seascapes. Naga’s Landing itself is just the area where the Naga have made landfall and allied with the lizard folk there to claim territory on the surface. Naga land-based architecture can best be described as Mayan or aquatic in design. Typical materials are mossy stone and wood. Towns and villages are usually simply occupied ruins, tribal huts, or tent encampments. Seashells are the primary decorative item used in construction efforts.
The Naga have very little use for clothing and much of what they do have is animal furs and skins arranged in tribal fashions.
Naga culture eats nearly everything raw and uncooked. It is a hunter gatherer society that eats things as it is found and fire is rarely involved in preparing meals.
Music: To outsiders music from Naga’s Landing sounds like a mix of clicks and hissing, combined with drums or conch shell horns. To the lizard and naga folk that listen to it, it sounds like the songs of the sea or the thrill of a challenging hunt. Sound travels well in water so the Naga themselves are capable of hauntingly beautiful, but wordless melodies.
Literature: Nagan culture has no known literature of any kind. Knowledge is passed down instinctually or is learned through personal experience.
Entertainment/Theater: Hunting is the main form of entertainment in Naga’s Landing. Many of the lizard and naga folk will even hunt for sport, just to maintain their skill at it. Outside of that swimming races are the closest thing to entertainment they are known to participate in.
There is almost no technology in Naga culture and most of it is either ignored or destroyed on sight. Making the region very primal. Magic on the other hand is very prevalent and most of it revolving around water or earthen elemental purposes. Naga and lizard folk shamans are capable of greats feats of magic around water.
Less of a nation and more akin to a migration, Naga’s Landing is the most obvious proof that the world is primarily an ocean planet. While the continent and its many land races believe themselves superior masters of the world, the kingdoms beneath the ocean are even larger. Only around 50 years in existence, Naga’s Landing is a new development in the pollical landscape. The Naga made landfall on the northwestern part of the continent, and nobody truly knows the purpose for their leaving the sanctuary of their ocean paradises to start meddling on land. The Dark Elves believe there is some sort of war going on underneath the seas between the aquatic races and kingdoms, and the Naga that have come on land are doing so to escape those troubles. Despite the mystery the region they occupied was originally inhabited by tribal lizard folk, who found kindred use in allying with the Naga. In exchange for lizard folk territory on land, the Naga offered the lizard folk plentiful food and even better weapons. The mutual benefit was extended to the Therianthrope territories since the shape changers just view the snake and fish people as another animalistic race. There is even a monument to the peaceful relations built between the two nations. The Naga also allied themselves with the Dark Elves and Undead so that they would not immediately get pushed back into the sea. In exchange to be left alone by the dark powers, the Naga trade slaves, turning over captive sailors and seashore villagers that they raid out in the seas over to the Dark Elves and Undead. Which the Naga do because they have no particular love for humans, who they consider a race that breeds way too fast. Apparently fast breeding is a threat to Naga based cultures so capturing or killing humans is just a form of population control in their mind, and a matter of instinctual survival. Naga’s Landing as it stands today is a mysterious migration of races that are leaving the sea for an unknown reason.
