The Global and American Hero Rankings
The Global and American Hero Rankings
In a world where 80% of humanity possesses Quirks, heroism has evolved into more than service — it has become the highest stage of competition, reputation, and legacy.
To measure the greatness of those who protect the world, two prestigious systems dominate the professional sphere: the Global Hero Ranking and the American Hero Ranking.
Each list is a sacred institution — a blend of statistics, symbolism, and story. To earn a place within the Top 100 of either ranking is one of the greatest honors a hero can achieve. To sit at the very top is to define an era.
The American Hero Ranking
Administered by the @Heroes League of America (HLA), the American Hero Ranking tracks and celebrates the top 100 professional heroes across all 50 states.
It is updated quarterly by the Hero Data Analysis Bureau (HDAB) and reflects a combination of power, heroism, and popularity — the triad that defines American hero culture.
Evaluation Categories
Each hero’s position is determined through the Heroic Value System (HVS):
Quirk Index (QI): Raw power, adaptability, and tactical use.
Heroic Performance Index (HPI): Civilian saves, villain apprehensions, and mission efficiency.
Popularity Index (PI): Public trust, charisma, and influence on national morale.
Final Score = (QI × 0.4) + (HPI × 0.4) + (PI × 0.2)
The top 100 heroes are then ranked accordingly, forming the National Hero Leaderboard — broadcast live on television and streamed worldwide every March, June, September, and December.
Cultural Significance
For American heroes, the rankings are both a mirror and a motivator.
The Top 10 are national celebrities — their likenesses appear on billboards, recruitment posters, and even postage stamps.
The Top 25 are treated as national treasures, their actions influencing law, policy, and pop culture alike.
For young heroes rising through the @National Collegiate Quirk Association (NCQA) and @American Hero Academies Organization (AHAO) systems, appearing anywhere in the Top 100 is the ultimate dream — proof that they have transcended from student to symbol.
The Global Hero Ranking
Overseen by the World Hero Council (WHC) — headquartered in Geneva — the Global Hero Ranking measures and compares heroes from every continent, merging international data through the Global Hero Intelligence Network (GHIN).
The Council uses a similar tri-metric model to the HLA’s, but includes two additional components reflecting global influence:
Disaster Response Efficiency (DRE): Measures the hero’s success rate in multi-national emergencies.
International Cooperation Index (ICI): Gauges diplomacy, teamwork with foreign heroes, and humanitarian impact.
Global Score = (QI × 0.35) + (HPI × 0.3) + (DRE × 0.15) + (ICI × 0.1) + (PI × 0.1)
This ensures that the global rankings reflect not only might, but moral influence and collaboration — the qualities that define true international heroism.
Structure
Top 10: The Global Pantheon — living legends whose names transcend borders.
Top 50: The Vanguard of Peace — elite heroes leading regional alliances or Guild coalitions.
Top 100: The Global Century — the benchmark for global excellence and the pinnacle of professional recognition.
Interconnected Systems
The Global and American Rankings share a symbiotic relationship.
While the @Heroes League of America governs @United States Of America’s internal hero community, it also submits quarterly data to the World Hero Council, influencing the international leaderboard.
Thus, many heroes occupy dual standings:
An American National Rank, representing their domestic status.
A Global Rank, representing their worldwide recognition.
For instance, a hero may be Rank #3 in America and Rank #11 globally, reflecting both their dominance at home and their impact abroad.
The Honor of the Top 100
Being ranked among the Top 100 Heroes of @United States Of America or the Top 100 Heroes of the World is a lifelong badge of prestige.
Ranked heroes receive official commendations, increased guild privileges, and global recognition through the Hero Network Broadcast — an event watched by billions annually.
At the year’s end, the World Hero Council Summit and Heroes League of America National Convention host joint ceremonies honoring these individuals. The Top 10 global heroes are awarded the Medal of Eternal Valor, engraved with the phrase:
Competition and Rivalry
Behind the respect lies fierce competition.
Hero Guilds pour millions into research, training, and sponsorships to push their members higher in the rankings. Fans debate endlessly online. Media networks analyze scores frame by frame.
And for the heroes themselves — it is a race without finish lines.
To climb the list is to prove your worth.
To stay there is to defend your legend.
To fall from it is to face the hardest truth of all: the world moves on, even from its brightest lights.
