Once a proud bastion built by the minor noble Lord Althred Falcon during the early years of Karameikos’s consolidation, the fortress was meant to secure trade routes and suppress goblinoid activity in the region. However, Falcon’s defiance of Duke Stefan’s authority and his rumored dealings with dark forces led to his downfall. The fortress was besieged and abandoned decades ago, now serving as a haunted landmark and occasional lair for monstrous squatters.

Appearance: The fortress is a shattered stone structure overgrown with ivy and moss, its towers collapsed and walls breached by time and battle. The central keep still stands, though its roof has caved in and its halls are littered with debris. Broken statues of falcons and tarnished banners bearing Lord Falcon’s sigil—a silver bird clutching a black spear—remain scattered throughout the ruins. The surrounding forest has reclaimed much of the outer courtyard, with twisted roots and creeping vines choking the remnants of once-paved paths.
